Never mind that.... The West Midlands? I thought they were from Nantwich or something?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Tim Burgess is but I'm relatively sure that the rest are from the W Mids. Could be wrong, like.

Seems to have been around forever. An intelligent man with bags of personality. Hope he gets greeted up there with "Hello, good evening and welcome". R.I.P.

Wow, I hadn't spotted that one.

A real 'man for all seasons', a true all rounder and yes Tango he HAS been around & on TV for all of my life. RIP & give my best to Nixon.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Michael Sheen played him brilliantly in Frost/Nixon, which, if anyone hasn't seen then they must. Been around for all of my life too. Sad news indeed. RIP

I was shocked when I woke up hearing Sir David Frost's name being discussed...surely not another old man under Yewtree investigation?! I could see the obvious headlines "A touch of Frost" etc... Imagine my relief when I realised he'd merely died.

Some of you ain't 'arf irreverent.

I have always admired the man and, like so many, it's sad that he has 'passed on'. I can imagine St. Peter being the subject of a pretty decent interview should there be a problem with David's passport.

Yes, sorry - I have always admired him too! If only they put cocky young Cambridge grads straight onto TV these days.

Looking back over his greatest hits, in places like here, I can't help but wonder how he ever got landed with that Through The Keyhole shite!

He started TW3 just before I came to Canada over 50 years ago. It was a great if short-lived show that spawned not so good imitators. RIP. Bruce, I have not seen the movie but I did see the original...

The inventor of the doner kebab has died in Germany. Kadir Nurman, 80, was widely credited with inventing the doner kebab after setting up a stall at a train station in Germany in 1972.

Not all of them are bad, just need to find a good one. Weirdly I haven't found a good one here, despite all the variations of them you can get :(

I've never had a doner kebab. There, I've said it.

So as not to go off thread. RIP Mr Doner Kebab Inventor! :?
