Not quite everything Tango. Not quite everything !!TANGODANCER wrote:Absolutely everything you need to know about Barrow Bridge can be found here:

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Do we really "need" to know that though Bobo? If we do, then I'm sure a lot more than just you could add er, "information".bobo the clown wrote:Not quite everything Tango. Not quite everything !!TANGODANCER wrote:Absolutely everything you need to know about Barrow Bridge can be found here:

Tried my hand at Venice's Grand Canal. Need a few finishing touches, but I don't think old Cannaletto has much to worry about.

I'm impressed, Tango. Good perspective, very nice indeed.

You've got some nice colours in there too, Tango. And nice depth of colour for a watercolour. That's what I'm going to work on next... so far my stuff's a little wishy washy. I want presence

This is the same thing taken without flash. The reality is somewhere between the two.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:You've got some nice colours in there too, Tango. And nice depth of colour for a watercolour. That's what I'm going to work on next... so far my stuff's a little wishy washy. I want presence

Two views of an idea got from a photograph. I changed the colours and added the bids etc. Flash has made the blue a little unreal in the top one. The other is without flash but on a dull day like today isn't see to best advantage. Overall, I'm quite happy with the result..

Two of the hardest things to paint are water (just cos it is) and glass. Glass has no colour at all and everything is a reflection of things around it. And no portfolio is complete without a Christmas snow scene...is it? Anway....

I like the top one of the birds and sea and what the flash did, you should try them with ink wax (as in wax crayons) and watercolours for some interesting effects

You chose a tough one mate, but did a good job. No trouble at all recognising The Fighting Temeraire. Well done.

Re: The Painting Thread... (as opposed to art debate)
Well, as someone who has recently read a post that contains a correct title only to see a following post which then confusingly corrects the said title but in actual fact the correction is exactly the same as the original post, then no, it isn't helpful... it's confusing is what it was.thebish wrote:TANGODANCER wrote:It's okay Spots.
