Something they as part of the coalition decided not to do. But they aren't in a coalition now ... something which seems to have passed quite a few people by.

I thought all three main parties' manifestos said they'd allow fracking (with various allusions to controlling regulation)

Yesterday it was warmer in Matlock than it was in the Bahra Oasis in Egypt in the middle of the Sahara. Not at night (which it was), but in the day.

It's always warm up there though isn't it? It's near where Darcy took his shirt off and went for a dip (at least in the telly version) :D

We have 5 daffs out. Heliports (standard, not Christmas) are flowering) and buds on all sorts of plants. 13.5° today.

I watched local rivers running exceedingly high ... though no real breeches yet.

Real weather this is.

Right now, as I type, the North Pole (yes, The North Pole) is warmer than Bermuda (yes Bermuda). And this is Winter. December in northern hemisphere.

I suspect you may have made a Fahrenheit-Celsius error (although the North Pole is unseasonably warm at 2 C).

 actually Monty, in this case I can blame MSN weather which had an overnight temperature for Bermuda at 2.2 deg C, but which should have been 22 deg C, with North Pole on 2.3 deg C.
But, even so... usually in mid winter the average is minus 23 degree centigrade.
