Help!

Post by Bijou Bob » Thu Aug 21, 2014 7:23 pm

I'm about to start a new company and I'm struggling for a name. Essentially, I'll be offering a range of psychotherapies - counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy. I've tried all sorts, the norwegian for 'renew' and the Greek for 'grow' as well as some meaningless Latin sounding words. The decent ones I've come up with have all been taken at Companies House.

A decent bottle of Scotch for anyone who can come up with a clever, original or decent company name for me. I know we've got some creative types on here, I'd very much appreciate your help!

Bumps, Feldt and Shrink Ltd.

I think about it overnight...

solvere is the latin word for "set free" / "resolve" / "release" / "melt" / "loosen"

Solvere Therapies

(i see that the more obvious "Integritas" is already in use...though, that is in America, not here)

or...

How about Insight Therapies Ltd?

I guess "Wibble, Wibble Therapies" is out of the question?

Would you not be better going something a bit more 'Ronseal'?

I know mental health problems are hard to get confident diagnoses for, and so a lot of people self-diagnose. I've no idea whether your business plan is to go after only referrals but if not, I'd imagine your self-diagnoser/person who's suffering from more common stress or anxiety, would be more likely to google 'CBT [place] name'. So 'Bolton Cognitive Behavioural Therapy' might mean more people find you.

I'm preferring your first suggestion Bish!

That's sound thinking Pru but I'm not just targeting a local market, looking more at corporate and using technology to reach a wider marketplace.

Meaning "recovery"? Mind you, I knew you wouldn't be able to resist having a go. Press on.
