I see ITV have a no-tail in the expert-review studio.
Zulu .... we're you unavailable ??

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Re: 2016 Six Nations
Much better in the second half so far. Couple of good tries - make that three...from Joseph. (Who I'm not sure will get the MoTM award for me)
Edit: This young prop we've bought on Jamie George....as the saying goes - wouldn't want to see that running at your village...
Itojie and all the subs made a big impact.

Terrifiv try just put over by Farrell. Great second half by us. Fitness did indeed count.

Good win in the end. No complaints from me particularly - Need to start quicker in the remaining three fixtures though.

Re: 2016 Six Nations
Although I've watched the game for years I never played it, so whilst I have a grasp of the basics, some of the tech stuff/finer points of the play is still a bit beyond me. Thought the whole team deserved a MOTM for the second half. The new lad at no 20 really got stuck in and contributed and Hartley seemed to enjoy being captain. I couldn't fault anybody and thought the last try was great.

England and Ireland at 4-50pm today. Be a good one to win, this one. Ireland have never quite been the same for me since O'Driscoll, O'Gara and Steve Woods bowed out. Come on you Whites......

massively looking forward to this - it'll be a proper test of where we are and where we're going...
Maro Itoje is a starter - heard him interviewed today and - after one sub appearance he was asked "do you see yourself as future england captain"!!!! FFS - why does the UK media always do this!!

hmmm...
story of the first half...
lots of good stuff - phenomenal ball-carrying - metres made - gain-line broken..
BUT... arggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how inventive we can be in screwing up with stupid penalties or daft errors when we have wangled a decent position?????? time after time!!!
Billy Vunipola, though - what a MAN!!!

story of second half..
Ireland lifted their game (yet conceded more!)
we don't half excel at making an 11pt win look fecking hard!!
(we did have two sin-bins, though...)
was it my mis-perception - or was there a whole lot of crossing/obstruction going un-punished in the Irish backs?

Re: 2016 Six Nations
Thought it was a good tough, battling game and pretty evenly matched in terms of effort.Vunipola was immense even to an amateur like me. Thought our defence was good because the Irish were very quick on the break. Didn't always understand why so many penalties were given or the reasons for them, but sometimes it's better not to be an expert, manager or ref and just sit back and enjoy the game. That I certainly did. The sweet chariots were swinging low this evening.

Which mastermind decided on a 4-o'clock kick off? Right in the middle of the Bolton game. Not like B.B.C or the powers that be don't know that the English Leagues are nearly all 4-45 finish. Plonkers.....

Well, it's no contest for me. Only one game I'll be watching and it's not at the Macron.
Re: 2016 Six Nations
absolute perfect timing in my book! What are the chances of anyone - by the time half time comes around - and noting the score and the likely outcome - will want to sit through the second half? Rugby appears at the perfect moment!TANGODANCER wrote:Which mastermind decided on a 4-o'clock kick off? Right in the middle of the Bolton game. How good has Itoje been that first 40? Absolutely immense. Need the same, next 40.
