Happens in twenty overs sometimes though, doesn't it? Lose early wickets on a good pitch and it makes it tough because you have to go for shots and a few errors or bad pieces of luck and it quickly runs away from you.

Such a shame. Windies have bowled really well though.

It does, but I think that even Root wasn't sure what he was doing there. Windies have bowled well and their fielding positions have been excellent.

So what are we realistically hoping for now? 135?

If we survive 20 overs. Though not sure it matters all that much.

Bet those batsmen feel a bit sick.

Hales, Moheen and Morgan, six between them wrote the story pretty soon. Still a faint hope, but very, very faint.

If we can bat as poorly as this, so can they. Yee (bolton fans obviously) of little faith.

Gotta bowl like never before! 9 deliveries for the last two batsmen - need at least 9 runs.

Well, 155's better than I thought we'd get. If the Windies are patient then they can pick them off - our only hope is that they try to stick everything out the ground (and don't manage to, natch ;) )

With Gayle he can try and stick everything out the ground and win the game in a few overs just like England did against NZ.

I'd rather they get cautious and nervous and tie themselves up. Can't see it sadly.

Only needed a Buttler or Stokes to have hung around a wee bit longer and I think we'd be near 180......

Preaching to the converted I know, but all down to a few things now: The wicket, good bowling from us, poor batting from them and a slight interference from Lady luck. Not shouting surrender yet...( if ever)

What a start. 1 run off the first over and a wicket with the first of the next. Top.

Makes me wonder where we'd be but for Joe Root, in any sort of cricket. What a little hero... :oyea:
