National Beer Day

Post by Worthy4England » Thu Jun 15, 2017 1:58 pm

Is apparently today. No? Me neither...

That said, it is warm outside...

And it's a bit quiet at work at the moment...

Hmmm....

Nowt wrong with that, Lad.

I only found out today that Wainwright is now produced by Marstons. Not entirely sure what to make of that as I've always found Thwaites version to be hit and miss - though when it's good it's really good. With Marstons, using Pedigree as my example, the nearer you are to Burton on Trent the better it is. Of course, the reverse applies equally.

Hmm. I've yet to encounter a bad pint of Wainwrights... Even the bottled stuff is good.

My favourite pint. When did it change Bruce? I only get it when i'm back home and didn't notice a difference last week when I was back.

Come to the Crofters by mine. They punt it out at £1.50 a pint and I still don't take 'em up on it.

March 15 apparently. Must be how well the landlord looks after it, I guess.

Miss wainrights, used to get the bottled stuff in Waitrose. I'm a Thwaites fan, but it's the same with many brews in that the further it travels the more it suffers. The exception seems to be the ones in the taps next to carling an fosters et al. Thoseconescare so full of shit that they consistently taste shit.

National Beer Day? I'm all for it unless it include lager pish as real beer should be termed ale.
