Still a few English heroes battling the second stage,Sullivan, Willets, Senior, Paul Casey is hovering etc, and Ian Poulter has appeared over the horizon with Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose. Hard to see Jordan Speith being beaten, he's so consistent and such a brilliant golfer. Rory is doing his brilliance and rubbish act again so far and I'm not holding much hope on him. I'm not following it closely as I want to see the two hours of highlights tonight.

Never heard of Collin Morikawa? (Me neither). Anyway,he won, and he's only 24. . I'm out of touch but didn't do badly with the rest. Ten Brits made par or better over four rounds, with Paul Casey's 5 under the best, so that's not too shabby. For once they got four days of brilliant weather.

Absolutely true, Tango. However, visit any driving range and you'll chiefly find folk attempting to knock the skin off it, usually with a club that only comes out 15 times per round.
Putting practice (greens in regulation gives you 36 putts per round) is generally only carried out on the practice green by players waiting for their turn to tee off on the first, and I can count the practice bunkers I've encountered on the fingers on one hand.
