Lot resting on Rahm. He has got 1 1/2 of our current 2 points, so not gonna be too critical.

Better from Europe. Have to win this session somehow. Rahm and Garcia winning the top match after looking well out of it would be the momentum needed to maybe turn it round.

Garcia and Rahm go one up at the twelfth after being three down. Brilliant... :oyea:

Casey just did a thing. One down. After looking like a nailed on defeat.

This afternoon's four ball pairings.

Finau and English V Lowry and Hatton.
Koepka and Speith V, Rahm and Garcia.
Scheffler and De Chambeau V. Fleetwood and Hovland.
Johnson and Morikawa V, Poulter and McIllroy.

Poulter and McIllroy get another chance, and unbeaten Rahm and Garcia ride again. Bring it on.... :oyea: .

Not liking some of those pairings. It’s 4-0 or at very least 3.5 or bust.

Mcilroy continues to stink the place up. Europe fighting hard here.

Don't talk silly. He's having a bad spell but it'll change. You're so ready to blame.

He’s having a shocking Ryder cup. He’s been dreadful. Oh and commentators just said it. He’s been abysmal. That’s nothing but reporting what’s going on in front of our eyes.

Rahm was awful not that long ago, in fairness.

European fight has been good but I’ve honestly no idea what Poulter and Mcilroy were sent out for yesterday afternoon. Just seems like hoping history works but Micilroy is in awful form and it was windy…so that was never going to work and Poulter is a fighter but has no form. So always felt like an odd pick for a session we really needed to win.

In fairness the USA deserve it they’ve played front foot golf from hole one and never let up. That’s not easy to do. They have some outstanding golfers too who seem to be enjoying this unlike some of their teams in the last. Even though we’ve struggled it’s been a good watch.

In fairness , I can't comment too much as I haven't watched it live and just followed The Independent commentary and video clips (not got Sky), whose reporter must be American as he seemed to will them to win every hole? I did stay with it all day till midnight between suffering a disappointment from The Whites.

Whilst looking like Mission Impossible, it'll be interesting to see if Padraig persists with Rory Mac and Ian Poulter who are definitely not at the races. They may get another chance on Strictly Come Dancing...Tommy Fleetwood too has been less than his fighting self and the solid Rahm and Garcia apart, none of ours have set the world alight. Love Lowry's attitude though. He's a fighter. Hope springs eternal.

Indeed. I actually thought that the rough being up would work in our favour, but the US have played some astonishing shots out of it. Some of the shots Europe have played - even I'd be annoyed with myself after playing.

Oh, and what a horrible, classless git Bryson DeChambeau is. I don't care how far he can hit it.

Too many Europeans on nil to contemplate the swing needed. De Chambeau is indeed awful. Not even sure we'll make respectable...Only Rahm, Sergio and maybe Hatton got much respectability out of this.

Lowry maybe too and not in points terms but young kid Hovland looks a player.

For me in a Ryder cup you need your big players to step up and lead like Garcia has. But rest of ours have been in truth pretty awful. Westwood for me if it was a pick wouldn’t be here and Mcilroy has had a stinker. American debutants all been brilliant too which hasn’t helped.

Thirded on De Chambeau awful awful bloke. Didn’t like the American attempts to get a free drop from a ball that was perfectly playable without injury risk. They then put it within 10ft or so. Arses.
