She is very odd and all. 😉 Happy new year to everyone on here. I won’t tempt fate by comparing it to recent years! 😬

Update:

Cat has puked over the treadmill.
A different cat got a fright whilst sat on me and has left a 4 inch cut on my stomach.
The temperature probe on my grill just packed in, so Mrs Twin is likely to have over cooked chicken later.
The loaf of bread I put in the bread gadget last night has turned out like a brick.

I'm declaring 2022 a disaster. Batten down the hatches

Happy New Year to all.

We've now reached the point at which over-bought festive food needs using up before the dates are up.

For Morag and I, this evening's shit-stiffening, fibre-free nosebag will chiefly comprise a gammon joint, a Camembert, chorizo, bramley apple and blackberry pie.

"Errr, have we any veg?" "No, not unless you have", "No, it all turned black after about two days". "Oh. I've a tin of peas....."
May the bridges I burn light your way

I don’t see how anyone can start a news years resolution to eat healthily yet. We have an insane amount of chocolate in the house that obviously needs eating before any healthy diet can start. Clearly should be eating the children’s allocations too to save their poor teeth. Good mother that I am.

Other than the obligatory chocolates which I can take or leave, the only Christmas food we have left is a solitary slice of Mrs BP’s rather excellent turkey, chorizo and sausage meat stuffing roulade. That will be tomorrows breakfast, just because I can. Btw did I say the whole thing is wrapped in bacon?

Technically West, though Facebook puts us as East :conf: and we are Mid Sussex district council - my children go to school in one county and I work ten minutes away in the other, which is going to be flipping annoying for February half term and Easter holidays which are different

Hope that’s cleared that up?!

And yes, yes I am 😇

Absolutely not. They were as disgustingly sweet as Kendal mint cake. It all has a similar effect on my fillings as accidentally chewing tin foil does.

I've barely began the gestation period. I must say though; to her eternal credit and to my imperishable gratitude, Morag has this ability to knock-up a sauce from whatever's to hand. Yesterday's mustard and whisky number was an utter, utter triumph. :)
