Wordle 234 4/6
This seems to be happening more regularly, whereby I narrow it down to a few possibilities, then get it on my third choice thereof ☹

A footy version. Unless you keep up to date with modern footballers it's nigh on impossible at times!

I've been fortunate with my opening guesses recently. Third double in a fortnight!

Three doubles in a fortnight? Hard to believe for a guy who never had a double. Do you have a wordle code breaking g program?

Re: The Wordle Thread....
Apart from incredible luck I think something that has helped has been thinking a bit out of the box for first words. I used to only use words with common letters like 'store' etc however the last few weeks I've been using ones with relatively rarer letters or trying different constructions each day (ending in a vowel, start with three consonants, start in a vowel etc).Montreal Wanderer wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 4:02 pmKeyserSoze wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 1:58 pmI've been fortunate with my opening guesses recently. Not sure whether at this point I'm patting myself on the back in retrospect, but I think the advantage that has is it narrows the field down a lot more for guess two if you get a rarer letter in than if you guess that, say, the letter R is at the end (for the record my first guess for this one was fable. Probably more likely to get a 5 or 6 but also if you hit you have a better chance of getting a two because the pool of words is much smaller.
