Re: Rugby Union
Watched England Under 19's play Ireland. Finished 32-32. We had it won till time was up and they got a last second try and conv.
Fair enough I suppose as we were down in the second half and fought hard, but we weren't the best side.

Re: Rugby Union
Aye, looks like football is our best bet (hopefully* If Marcus Smith is fit and we use the wings, we may have a chance because Ireland certainly will do that. If we rely on the beefsteak approach...well...we'll see. Que Sera.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 10:34 amThis could be a bad day for England's sporting results..

Light is found in the darkest of places. Great wins for Italy and England - reckon you'd have got fair odds on that at the start of the day. Pretty decent performance by England, with tries!...

This, and a Jonny Wilkinson special for the win. Well done Marcus..Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 6:58 pmLight is found in the darkest of places. Think the DG was a gimmie, TD. We were playing penalty advantage under the sticks anyhow!

Re: Rugby Union
Crazy game this rugby. The reports say.
.Down 21-05 at one stage, away in France; to turn around the game and win 45-31 is exceptional from this England 20s side. It's been a brilliant U20 Six Nations this year and England are fully deserving winners. That only tells the half of it.
At half time we didn't look in it and the Pierre's were flying. Suddenly, on the hour we were in front by sheer guts and will power. Hope you saw this Worthy, because England Six Nations Under 20's champions for 2024. Still can't believe we won this, but all credit to the kids. They were incredible.

Missed it, mate, was out at a gig. Reads like a cracker, though. Looking forwards to this evening's games, although unless Scotland beat Ireland by more than 7 and Ireland don't get a BP for tries, the England game will just be a wrap up fame with nothing riding on it..

Re: Rugby Union
Some comfort. The Seymour's get the wooden spoon. Congrats to Ireland on 6 Nations Champs but no Slam and no Triple Crown. Just France England left, would be a decent statement were England to win, but that still looks a big ask, away...

Re: Rugby Union
Pretty good account if ourselves, even in a narrow defeat. Was certainly a game of four halves.
Oh and Italy. Well done them, too.

Re: Rugby Union
Brilliant game, England fought the good fight but gave France too much ball. We handed it to them on a plate with penalties. Ramos missed what, one out of six? . It was almost a repeat of the under 19's last night....almost.

Re: Rugby Union
Yeah, although we never did get to see a replay of the last one, that won it for France...but a no arms tackle in the last two minutes is poor discipline.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 9:53 pmBrilliant game, England fought the good fight but gave France too much ball. Re: Rugby Union
No living with the English girls Rugby Union side. The knocked a 88-10 win against Ireland in front of 48,000 at Twickenham today.

Yeah, saw that late due to the time differences. Sounded a tough scrap.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 10:20 amFair play to the chaps. 16-15 v ABs away. Creditable performance.

Another defeat, but I don't really mind that, if I can see we're progressing, which we are. Good series win for the Oirish.
