Virginia Wade (won 3 of the 4 slams) and 3 of the 4 doubles slams...defeating some of the greats of the women's game.

Andy might not even be our best tennis player and I've not mentioned Fred Perry, yet...because he'll be "discounted" for some reasons...

You cannot mention female tennis players without giving a nod to Angela Mortimer, who won three grand slam tiles in singles and one in doubles. She was once ranked number 1 in the world. No one has come close to that. I believe she is still alive if somewhat ancient now.
