ps3 =
+ high cost in UK
+ not full backwards compatibility for ps2 games
+ few new games yet
+ blueray DVD that may be obsolete in 12 months

doesn't really add up

Ah yes, I remember now!

That game did more for TV sales then any other game of it's time (due to people putting their foot through the screen!)

I guess we'll all find out in a fair few years. :D

Get a Wii, it's a no brainer.

I suspect the novelty of the wii will wear off pretty quickly.
I had a go on one at a party a couple of weeks ago. It was a good laugh, but only because everyone was drunk so nobody minded standing in the middle of the room swinging their arms about like a prat while a little cartoon golfer copied them. I can't imagine playing on one by myself though.

Think I'll wait a couple of years until they're giving PS3's away for next-to-nothing.

Went to Preston this morning for a browse, and most shops still had PS3's in stock.

I asked a chap in GAME and he said they'd only sold 2 or 3 of the dozen they had in stock.

Sony gave the first 100 people to buy one a Hi-def tele and a taxi ride home as a thankyou. Still too dear though.

They're selling this new Playstation jobbie in Tesco for around £475. All of which leads me to conclude that purchasers must have (a) too much money on their hands to buy one, and (b) too much time on their hands to get their money's worth!

I want to get a Wii, they are awesome.

The only time I really play on a console is Singstar for the playstation when were drunk.

Playing a Wii drunk would be awesome, well, as long as people keep hold of the pad.

I've had a Wii for a couple of months now, play on it quite regular too. Mind, that's as much because of my son suggesting it quite regularly as anything else.

I can imagine it being a right laugh when drunk at a party, its funny enough when sober.

BUMP!

No decent PS3 games out yet??

What about Elder scrolls 4?

Image

Played this at a mates house, and thought it was so good it was almost worth buying the PS3 alone for!

Great game but played it to death on the PC many moons ago! And its easy to mod on the PC where'as once you've been through it once on the ps3 im not so sure you'd go back to it...

I love my 360 though at the moment...Guitar Hero 2 is taking up far too much of my free time

Would consider a ps3 if the rumours of a remake of Final Fantasy 7 are to be believed! But a Wii deffinately looks good fun and might get one in a couple of months..anyone suggest the best games for the Wii??
