Iain Dowie has left the Stadium.....

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

...at Palace by mutual consent apparently.

He is already being linked with the vacant posts at Charlton and Boro.

I must admit that was my first thought. Hang on a mo while a doth by 'cynical hat'......

Has Big Sam actually committed himself to Bolton following on from speculation that he would review his situation if he failed to be awarded the England job? Many have touted Dowie as the ideal replacement and the timing of this could be viewed, by some, as a little too convenient....

Me? I don't believe any of that but there are plenty others that would.....

Good manager, he will find another job with ease. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go to PNE, either.

That is, until Billy Davies takes the Charlton job, soldier

By the way, I think Simon Jordan is a complete cock. Veiled threats about Dowie not taking the Charlton job, and turning £8m down for Johnson

And in an effort to to move closer to his family, Robbie Savage style, Mr Dowie has moved to the other side of town with Charlton. What an amazing cock-an-bull story this has turned out to be.....

Hence Jordan suing him for the £1m compensation clause Palace agreed to waive. But then I've heard that Jordan wanted assurances (presumably before handing over the AJ money) that Dowie wasn't going to go for the first job up north that came up; Dowie couldn't promise so they parted company.

However Dowie says he never said anything about being nearer them, rather he wanted to spend more time with them. Nobody knows what dispensation CAFC have given him, maybe he's on a 4 day week or something??

Good point Commie. And he's got lots of people round him - Charlton have brought back Les Reed as assistant coach, plus Andrew Mills as "general manager of football" and Mark Robson as "development coach" - sounds like they're taking a lot of the ancillary stuff off him, leave him to think about the first XI's tactics and that's about it. I suppose he could also bring in Neil McDonald as a cone-placer now.
