Tattoo much?

Post by enfieldwhite » Tue May 23, 2006 8:30 pm

I have three tattoos. One of them is a small caricature type on my shoulder which I now don't like. I had it done when I was 18, and drunk.

My wife has said she would like to pay for another tat, and I want to cover it up with something that reflects my love for my club (and town), without having f**king ribbons halfway down my back.

I quite like one of the town crests, with the elephant and castle, but can't find a decent example.

Suggestions (in picture form) would be gratefully received.

Game on.

No. And don't ask me to post one either. Why do you think I have no avatar?

I'm looking for something that can cover an area of about 8 square inches.

I saw this. There is another version with different coloured lions. I like it but it's a little over complicated for a tattoo. Good call though.

I was trying to find a picture of the elephant one with the blue crest & "BW" across the middle. Instead, I found "Leyther_Matt Youth Team" when searching for "bwfc badge" on Google!

Why not base it on this?

Good, but too specific. I guess I could lose the '1958' and replace the writing with my surname. What do you think?

The only reason I'm asking is that it might look a bit shit if you just tatoo over it.

I would have had a go at designing something around it.

It's a tattoo of a skull in a Top Hat smoking a spliff. (I did say I was drunk, didn't I?) It really is quite faded now, so Warty's Lancashire Rose idea would be bold enough to cover it.

I'm liking the original design idea though......

Don't tattoos really hurt?? Do you want to put yourself through the agony?? Is that why you were drunk when you had it done??

Nope I was drunk stupid and young when I had my first and didn't really think about what I wanted to have displayed on my body for the rest of my life.

The other two are much more personal to me and I am happy with the way they turned out.

They don't really hurt. It's more of a hot, scratchy sensation. Quite bearable.

BWFC is the first tat I would get. I would then become a walking billboard for my beliefs and passions. That's why I dont get them. But I would love to be able to pull up my sleeve and show the world the old badge.

just get rid of it if you don't like it, it will hurt like hell but few coverups work particularly well if you're not intergrating the existing design.

Anything happen with this? I kinda want to get a BWFC tattoo, but don't know what to get. I too would prefer no freaking ribbons.
