Threatening to sue PNE as they won't let him move to Derby.
Why on earth would he want to go there?

In what respect? Stadium capacity? Nottingham Forest dwarf both in terms of achievement, but would you leave Preston to manage either at the moment?Cowdrill wrote:Derby are far bigger than Preston
That said, Preston are well within their rights to refuse him permission to speak to a direct competitor such as Derby, bloody right they are. Yet they did allow him permission to speak to a club in an excellent Premiership position, ultimately affording him the opportunity of displaying his credentials at the highest level! Shouldn't he be grateful to the club for allowing him to speak to Charlton in the first place?

On that note, and in reference to your Everton MEGAPOWER thread, Bolton have a far more superior stadium than Everton, have better back room staff, have a far better side and probably have less debt than Everton, even though they are a bigger club.SAMHATER wrote:Derby are a bigger club yes, but Derby have huge debts, PNE don't, PNE finished higher by some way and have a much better side.
Sad when people only care about money
Strange, eh?

Wonder what the outcome of this will be. Following threats to sue, it's difficult to envisage Billy Davies and PNE working happily together from now on. But presume he's under contract, and PNE will get compo from whichever club he moves on to. Is it not in PNE's interest to get rid asap, and get the wheels in motion to identify a new boss? Or am I just being naive?

Really? Madness!!!warthog wrote:Looks like Davies has got his way. He's Derby bound. Mad.
Ahhhh, now then. There may be a little more to this. Yesterday there was talk of Dowie being unable to take up his new position at Charlton. Hmmm, maybe he's about to get his move up north afterall? Or maybe I should be concentrating on my work a little more!
