Russian Ref ... Barry Knight in disguise ???
You know when people suggest an alternative to extra-time, golden-goals & penalty shoot-outs ?
One suggestion is the gradual reduction of players. Each team going down to 10 men, then 9, then 8 etc. until a result is achieved via 'golden goal' (or ... "next goal wins" as we used to call it).
Do you think that's what the Russian ref was trying out yesterday ??
I thought of Barry Knight for one, horrible, second ... except he only doled them out to one team.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
