You'll love it.

He may not be able to sing at times, but it's an experience, for my sins I tend to go a bit, also seeing him in Liverpool on the 26th October.

Admitting I know little or nothing of modern bands, but my MD's son plays in a new group called "Republic of Struan". I don't even know how to describe what they play. Not my scene, anyway....

I have a ticket for Friday, 24th of August at Manchester Academy 3 at the Uni on Oxford Road. Grouops are "The Tides % Juno Ashes" , backed up by "Wager" and said "Republic of Stuan". Bought it because the lad was trying to sell them at work. If anyone wants it just PM me your postal address and I'll send it to you. Cost me a fiver but I'm a kind-hearted bloke and I won't be going.

They'd throw me out. Even the Uni Lasses on Oxford Road handing out free stuff don't bother any more. :P

No, not yet, I'm checking the diary.

I go to Rome on the 26th, wonder what the missus will think of me nipping over rather than saving money......

Their EP - bought it when I saw British Sea Power live and they supported, fecking amazing. Amazing soundscapes.

For interest here are a couple of their vids, Terranova and Spencer Perceval.

I've been listening to The Mary Onettes quite a lot recently - they have a Joy Division/Cure/Echo and the Bunnymen sound about them.
