That album kept me sane through a very hectic christams, and is now required listening in many an antipodean household (should I get a cut from't th'hotpots for that?)Bruce Rioja wrote:I sez tha wants fert' eat a chippy tea yer great big bloomin' girl.FD wrote:Reissue of Jimmy Eat World...
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

They used to play the Lower Nags Head in the early 80's. Autoze? it think they were called.
The lads name was Frazer Donaldson. Top bloke. Decent band too.
Only thing was they had to play all the revitalised 'mod' stuff that was out and he was a total rock man.

Bit of Manic Street Preachers today anyway, b-sides from the Send Away the Tigers singles.

Obviously before my timeTANGODANCER wrote:Good shout. Magical period of music, the Motown era. "Wherever I lay my hat" and "Me and Mrs Jones" jump into head.boltonboris wrote:This second.... My favourite track of all time (probably) Marvin Gaye - 'Heard it through the grapevine'
Just ultra cool
But I just love the feel of the Music, it seems like a time when no matter what was hapening in the world - the music was the only thought once it was switched on. Defined an era
P.S the only "Wharever I lay my hat" I know of was an 80's track by Paul Young?? Am I wrong?
