What are you playing tonight?

'The Baseballs' a retro German band... Brilliantly catchy, give it a try

I mentioned the Stone Roses, and I mentioned the Holy Bible, but tonight I got reacquainted with the oldest of bestest old friends. My favourite album ever. Here's a challenge. Find me a better album, not muscially, not artistically, just for what it is, than The Clash-The Clash

The album that got me into music.

Its not even their best album.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

That doesn't answer his question.

Mind, I'm not sure his question makes sense. A better album "not musically, not artistically". So in what way better?

I'd suggest the new one by Cheryl Cole. That's good.

The recent Israeli news item made me remember this beautiful offering from Ferranti and Teicher:

Rush - lots of it - not taken it out for a spin in ages.

Marvellous.

Not sure Neil Peart has enough drums though.

I can see space here for definitely a cowbell and maybe even car horn. What's the matter with him? Sort it out!

:lmfao:

That only looks like half his set - seems to be missing all his tubular bells etc. :-)

It is indeed the set of a man who doesn't lug them from gig to gig himself.

Seen em a couple of times in the late 70's/early 80's.

Never really rated them much as a "stage" band (but only saw them at Bingley Hall and the Apollo), they look like they've improved a bit on stage presence since the early days from what I've seen on Utube - but love the albums.

I've got 3 new albums out this week - We Are Scientists, Hot Hot Heat and Gaslight Anthem...but I can't stop listening to The Strokes' albums!
