This tonight in Manchester!
Re: What are you playing tonight?
The new Radiohead tune is great. I like it more than when I first heard There There (which i loved), the lead-off track from Hail to the Thief, back in 2003. In Rainbows remains their second strongest album after OK Computer but I wasn't too taken by The King of Limbs. Massively looking forward to this new one!
One of the all-time great bands and I was lucky enough to see them at the Apollo in 2003 and the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool in 2006. Two of my personal best gigs. Welcome back

Just sorted that out for you there, DocDr Hotdog wrote:Pablo Honey remains their second strongest album after The Bends
Just discussing Burn The Witch with a colleague and we broadly agree that it's ok until Yorke pipes up.

Bit strange really - I don't get the "adulation" for the Stone Roses - but think some of their tracks are superb. I really don't like hearing "Sally Cinnamon" at a Salford wedding or other social occasion - sure sign of scally bastards in the building.Bruce Rioja wrote:Oh I couldn't give a stuff about the lyrics, Worthy. Agree entirely there, chap. And I wouldn't go watching them live for a gold pig, but some of their stuff really is exceptional.Worthy4England wrote:Bit strange really - I don't get the "adulation" for the Stone Roses - but think some of their tracks are superb. Pretty sure I've posted this before. Always worth a repost. Performing in Salford next week. Can't wait. Wine & Weed night.

It seems a fair bet that "Nothing Compares 2 U" may be the most played and downloaded track next week.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

some say his singing is an acquired taste - he played mean guitar, though... one of the greatest guitarists of all time...Bruce Rioja wrote:Is he shit at singing, or summat?thebish wrote:indeed!Beefheart wrote:Great album (I assume it's the instrumental version!)thebish wrote:tonight I am mostly revisiting Frank Zappa whilst unscrewing flat-pack furniture in preparation for moving house...
Re: What are you playing tonight?
Well, that's a matter of opinion, but for some reason when this album was re-released on ryko disc a few of the tracks had added vocals by some woman. The 2012 remaster went back to the original versions. I'm sure you're interested!Bruce Rioja wrote:Is he shit at singing, or summat?thebish wrote:indeed!Beefheart wrote:Great album (I assume it's the instrumental version!)thebish wrote:tonight I am mostly revisiting Frank Zappa whilst unscrewing flat-pack furniture in preparation for moving house...
