Anybody seen - Stinky?
I've always wondered what happened to posters who for a period of time I have grown to like through their posts and then for no apparent reason simply 'disappear'.
Obviously they have their reason for no longer posting but as a tribute to them (and in the vain hope that they might see this post and prompt them to revisit us - just to tell us they are alive and well and living in the lap of luxury somewhere or other) I post my recollections of them.
The first of my 'missing' is also a good friend of mine from the 606 and bb days - good old Stinky the Frog.

Right from the start Stinky confused us as he claimed his user name was actually the real name of his son's rabbit!
Stinky joined TW on the 13th January 2005 and was TW's 90th member. It was because Stinky and another ex bb member (Whose name I cannot mention
) joined TW that prompted my good self to join TW too and become its 91st member - so yeah thank the frog for that!
Stinky went on to make 847 posts here on TW to put him in 41st place on the TW all time posters list - but as Soldier is currently 3rd on that list it proves that we cannot judge someones quality based solely on the number of posts they make alone! - Stand easy Soldier - only joking!
Stinky last visited on the 31st March this year his last entry was when talking about Nial Quinn's Disco Pants! but a slightly earlier one on the same day saw him in a slight altercation on the Wem-ber-lee thread.
On the face of it, it wasn't the biggest argument I have ever seen (have I ever mention the trouble I have had with the mods on Bol........why is everybody yelling yes!), so I do hope that wasn't the final straw so to speak.
I do know that Stinky got married at the start of the new year, so maybe his new domestic situation together with his work demands have left him less time to bob in and visit us these days.
Stinky was a top player on a interactive game called Kings of Chaos, maybe he has been lost permanently to the 'dark' side, maybe he will return when the 'age' is over?
Anyway, I wish you well Stinky and the next time your passing do pop in a say hello.
Best wishes mate wherever you are!

Inspector Sluffy,
I've had the occasional e-mail from Stinky, as you say he got married in at the start of the year (not to Mrs R as far as I know) and I think he's still in his honeymoon period
He's got a lot on with his job, so that fills all his day time and his lad is doing really well with his football team so a lot his time is spent taking him to training and matches. He alleges that Jussi's lad also plays in the same league but refuses to let me know when their matches are. Apparently lurking round under 10s football, as well as going to Junior Whites parties whilst childless is frowned upon???????

I have (rare) chats with him on msn (when he forgets to block me). He did get married to a woman with whom he had been living for some time and with whom he had had a son (now a junior white and minor football star) - there are also stepchildren, etc. It was his second marriage. He quit Kings of Chaos at the end of the last age, as we did, Sluffy, but later rejoined under General Pigsfoot, quit again and joined again, etc.
He used to make some hilarious posts, largely tongue in cheek. I'm not sure "too busy" is why he stopped posting, though it may be. He got a great deal of stick (and hostile pms) because of his "friendship" with Mrs. R. (aka Natasha). I think he may have been a little hurt by some of the things said. When next season rolls round I will try to talk him out of retirement.

I'd be very surprised if he has posted on WW in the last year or more, though he may take stick still regarding Natasha who continues to terrorize the place. He's really one of the good guys - you'd like him - he's always getting on my case.Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:Montreal Wanderer wrote:I have (rare) chats with him on msn (when he forgets to block me). I've been looking through the archives on WW recently, and he got a huge amount of stick, but there's nothing recent.Montreal Wanderer wrote:I'd be very surprised if he has posted on WW in the last year or more, though he may take stick still regarding Natasha who continues to terrorize the place. As for Bintylocks, she's had a pretty lean time. The stuff from here that was resposted has been locked, and the most frequent response to her ramblings is the acronym HBAYT.

Gotcha! I had thought on WW the approved word was something like norks (which was also new to me).Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:How big are your...............erm..........toesMontreal Wanderer wrote:warthog wrote: I've been looking through the archives on WW recently, and he got a huge amount of stick, but there's nothing recent.

Norks is indeed the preferred term. It took me a while to work out HBAYT. Also in circulation is HBIYC and HBAYMT which should be easier to decipher now that you're in the spirit of things.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Gotcha! Well, the C seems pretty straight forward given the literary standard of WW - I'll have to think about MT (Mother's Toes?)warthog wrote:Norks is indeed the preferred term. Sounds like an American to me - I'd leave them where they were if I were you.Gertie wrote:I'm not sure I'm catching on here.... Someone will have to PM me...??
If norks are what I think they are... then I haven't heard that before... I was in the Mosely a few years ago in Breightmet and a bloke asked me if I would get my bazookas out????? Perhaps he was mixing me up with SOTWA????????

After Sluffy's post I was chatting with him today. He is pretty busy and may be a little gunshy about being on forums (I suspect he was upset about the abuse re SHE last year). Hopefully we can get him back in the fold to make his wry comments when the season starts again.Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:

Well tell him, that unless he went by the sudaname Mitch Caine. I doubt anyone on here would connect the two to be honest.Montreal Wanderer wrote:After Sluffy's post I was chatting with him today. Unless he came back and started banging on about her that is. He posted some good stuff as I remember and it is a shame he feels that way.
