Anelka to Liverpool

Post by Bench » Fri Jan 07, 2005 12:47 pm

Anelka has been signed by Liverpool from Man City.

That leaves SWP has Shitty's top scorer - Championship beckons?

Bit premature Bench - Rafa has merely stated an interest.

It wouldn't surprise me if he returned though my preference lies with Morientes.

And if he, and/or SWP were to leave, I think Man City will be spared from the Fizzy Pop Championship by the ineptness of those below them.

Yeah - heard a rumour that the deal was done but couldn't be bothered to check it out. Shame on me :whip:

I stand corrected.

Check, check and check again as Julie 'The Word' Freer would say. Not that that means anything to you.

You been doing work experience at the BEN perfan?

If she works at the BEN then her advice clearly hasn't filtered through to Gordon Sharrock.

When I was there Gordon and Neil Bonnar sat on their own well away from the rest of the news team. I think it was Gordon's taste in Hawaiian shirts that caused this.

She was very helpful to me, but as I am now in PR you can decide the outcome of her advice for yourself

Lecturer - a term often used to describe someone who can't hack it in the workplace

I did, just before Christmas.

As far as Anelka goes by the way: if we can't get Morientes we should skip Anelka and try for Andy Johnson from Crystal Palace.

I think you'll find the influx of Christmas stories was responsible for that. It was great to find out, however, that St Helens has the best pavements in the North West. :D

As suspected, and as hoped, we're all set to complete the signing of Fernando Morientes tomorrow morning and hopefully he'll play against Man Utd on saturday.

I hope he plays tomorrow, I'll be there to see that one, as always!

Anelka is a good footballer but I think we'd gain more by signing Andy Johnson from Palace, if Rafa wants another striker that is. I'm well aware he isn't the biggest fan of Cisse, whose career is in severe threat, so I'm told.

WIll he play him with Barros or Pongolle? Pongolle would be my best bet Barros may be a little the same.
