i remember once the stadium announcer read out a congratulations to someone who had just had twins, baby Nathan & baby Blake, i remember thinking how cool that was! then he left not long after. thats the risk you take. you could always use david & Lee, or erm....

Yeah, the missus vetoed my plan to call the other girl Sam, probably wise as these things are as you say ephemeral, but Nat will always be a legend. And the club president isn't bad either!

Haven't explained to her yet as Sir Nat isn't on the tellybox too often. She knows "Big Sam" and "Juicy", though I have to explain to her every time why he's allowed to touch it with his hands.

She also made me smile the other morning: i was catching up on some highlights over breakfast, and she said "Dad! Football! You need a beer!"

See, they do eventually have uses.
