Populous made me buy an Amiga, parents (who slept below my room) used to go mad with the boom boom of the heart noise
Other ones that spring to mind
Dungeon Master or something similar on the Amiga (there were big dragons in it and a giggly thing that nicked your stuff)
That Daley Thompson game on the Sinclair that fooked up your keyboard
Tripods which I could never work out what to do
Jeff Minter loonie Llama games
Monkey Island

Well, I remember playing this one to death!:Raven wrote:No it was definately Dungeon Master or something like that

Though I always thought it was called 'Eye of the Beholder' saying that, EOTB could have been another I played on it, it was about 14 years ago.

Has anyone heard of gorilla? A two player game where you threw bananas across a city scape directed it by the velocity and angle you entered. The aim was to hit your opponent. It got me through most IT lessons at school, cracking game.

There's probably many in the intervening years, Skyrim, The Witcher 3, even Hogwarts Legacy was decent. But today and ahead of an imminent Starfield, I give you Baldurs Gate 3. A thing of absolute beauty...

Colleague talked about BG3 the other week, funnily enough! In the intervening years, Breath of the Wild is probably my standout but will always hold a soft spot for the Portal series. Currently playing Tears of The Kingdom which is pushing its way up there.
F Starfield, waiting for the next Elder Scrolls!

Yeah, Tears is decent, never really got into Portal. Starfield is "free" with Gamepass sub, so it'd be rude not to...KeyserSoze wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 8:23 pmColleague talked about BG3 the other week, funnily enough! Guess with BG3 there's an amount of whether you like turn based RPG, but the production is stunning. Odd teething issues as full release was only last Thursday, but pretty stable...
