LMAO at the negativity there! I thought i was a pessimist!

It'd be nice to see what our boys can do when we (hopefully) get a bat. The Ashes aren't going to be lost on the first day.

C'mon boys.

Indeed it is a batting paradise.

S K Warne c G O Jones b S J Harmison 17
B Lee not out 43
S R Clark b A Flintoff 39
G D McGrath not out 8

These are the bunnies of the Australian team - over 100 runs between them.

Now:

A J Strauss c M E K Hussey b G D McGrath 12
A N Cook c S K Warne b G D McGrath 11
I R Bell not out 13
P D Collingwood c A C Gilchrist b S R Clark 5
K P Pietersen not out 6

Three top order batsmen with a grand total of 28.

I truly trust that Pietersen and Bell can both run up double centuries. If they don't it'll all be over before lunch on Sunday.

bloody hell, you're not too far off there. though what's this unrealistic shite about us reaching 380?

it's really frustrating that we've bowled poorly on a pitch which already favours batters and then we've batter poorly and a pitch that even at the end of the second day is in their favour

ridiculous

I think it's the formation that's all wrong... I mean, eight slips and two gullies is the way to get the best out of our star man Harmison

Didn't Fletcher take a mid-week trip to the Gold Coast to see Elton John in concert? I hear a few agents have also said "he likes a deal".

I’ve heard one of the bowlers is unsettle as he doesn’t know if he’ll have a central contract next year

To keep the interest of the Australian public alive and the sponsors happy the Australians will have to let England win one of the early Tests, so expect to see a massive win for them in Brisbane, a narrow win for England in Adelaide and then it will be game on for the rest of the series. I hope
Well as predicted it looks like Dunkirk all over again and a massive win for Australia in Brisbane. :(

So I hope that my other prediction is right and that they let us win in Adelaide or Perth

1046: WICKET England 78-4 (Pietersen 16)
Disaster for England as McGrath traps Pietersen in front playing no shot.

To avoid the follow on, Bell/Flintoff need to last the day
If Flintoff goes soon, I can't see us making 250.
