Parkinson out, Phil Brown in at Hull

Hull City have parted company with boss Phil Parkinson after less than six months in charge at the KC Stadium.
Parkinson was appointed following Peter Taylor's defection to Crystal Palace in the summer.

Despite having spent more than £2m on players, Hull are currently one place off the bottom of the Championship.

Hull chairman Adam Pearson confirmed first team coach Phil Brown and assistant manager Colin Murphy will take over first-team affairs.

Pearson said in a statement on Hull's website: "It is regret that on behalf of Hull City, I wish to announce the departure of manager Phil Parkinson, a course of action myself and Phil reluctantly confirmed this morning
Unfortunately, results have not gone the way either Phil or the club would wish."

Having guided Colchester to promotion, Parkinson arrived at Hull with a glowing reputation as one of the game's brightest young managers.

Parkinson's achievements at Layer Road in guiding Colchester into the Championship persuaded Pearson to fork out £400,000 compensation to the Essex club for his services.

Hull suffered a 5-1 humiliation on Parkinson's return to Layer Road, a result described as "totally unacceptable" by Pearson.

That defeat was followed by a weekend 4-2 home defeat against Southampton.

So what you're saying is that Pearson has had his fill of Phil and Phil will fill in?

... from a Liverpool fan !

Is it me ????????
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Good luck to Browny - if he can turn 'em round he'll have a decent little club there, not far from his homeland either.
