Good stuff. Did 7 miles tonight with 5 x 1km efforts in the middle.

Rest day tomorrow.
That's outrageous. Well done. My left knee's playing up a bit this morning - not good. I'll rest it until Saturday.

Sorry. Ice is frozen water. Start by pouring cold water into pre-formed cuboid moulds and then placing said (filled) moulds into the freezer compartment of your refrigeration device. This process will create the aforementioned 'ice'

Just me and Leverend's little sister running through the rain this morning then? You should be ashamed of yourselves. :)

Hard day today.

Only did 50km as I got a puncture which took ages to change as a) it was bloody freezing and blowing a gale and b) I'd never had to change one before.

I knew the theory just never had to do it 'on the job' so to speak. Loads stopped but I determined to do it myself.

However when I got back I was happy to get off the bike and run 2 miles in under 16 minutes.

Just done a bloody horrid parkrun course in Gainsborough. Basically a 3 lap cross country course on muddy fields on the side of a hill. 263 ft of climbing in 5k. Ran about 22:30.
134 different courses for my parkrun tourist mate who won in 18:25.
Need a new one for next week.

I'm up for Bolton next week. Just done a 'Brick' session of 35om on the bike (with the middle 15km being a pendulum of 6 steep, but short, hills) followed by a sub 24min. 5km run.

Felt strong.

Good going dude. You'll piss this ironman lark!
Might do Bolton next week as well if we're getting the band back together? Jake? Elwood? Anyone else?

Jinxed!

Ran Tuesday night and have hurt my back. Trip to the drop in clinic yesterday morning and an Osteopath last night has eased my fears but not the pain. So no parkrun Saturday. I shall, however, still be there to cheer on Mrs GtE and Little Miss GtE and the rest of you reprobates. :|

I'm doing Harrogate because I'm bringing mates to the game and getting them up at 7 to freeze their tits off watching me run round Leverhulme Park seems a tad unreasonable.

I have a physio appointment 9-10am, but could be persuaded to partake in breakfast (albeit slightly late to the party), in readiness of a bellyful of beer!

I was thinking that I might go down to watch. I'm fancying a post-PR breakfast.
