So, have we actually paid the HMRC bill? I've either missed the announcement or there hasn't been one.

it'd be daft to pay it much before the bailiffs actually move in - we'd lose a few days' interest!

I bet you fill up with petrol BEFORE it gets well past empty - don't you, eh?? panic fannies!! {sigh}

Come on, keep up.
We're not going to pay the tax bill at all. Remember?

Indeed - poorly worded by me. However, how the fecking Dickens has it got from £600K to £3M in the matter of a few weeks?

I think the £600k was the PAYE and tax bill . The two or three million is that plus all the quarterly VAT bill which hasn't been paid for a year. The winding up petition was for the PAYE monies, but it has triggered a demand for all revenues to be settled. At least I think that's the situation...

I imagine, everytime we pay our staff it goes up because we take away their TAX / NI, but then don;t give it to the Govt.. I may well be, and probably am, wrong

No, i think youre right. Having had dealings with the vatman in the (thankfully) distant past i can tell you they dont f*ck about. Put a comma out of place and theyre on you.

I can't imagine Whelan will have made a particularly generous offer for Euxton either. Bet he's nailed us to the table in revenge for that extra million we got for Al Habsi

Whelan would nail his mother to the table to get the best deal, hopefully our new (maybe) billionaire owner employs ex US Seals and extracts revenge!

Our Twitter friend suggests £2.2m although it was valued at £3m.

Hasn't the odious c*nt binned Wigan off now? Just before it all turned toxic? That's his usual MO.

He broke his leg once you know. At Wembley.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

His son's the chairman now I think. I'd be surprised if he's not still pulling the strings
