From what I can gather, we only got the pen because the ref was Homer. Or summat.TANGODANCER wrote:Silva's a tricky little fella, but if he had ben playing for them I'd be calling him Tom Daley..

Lennon reckons he was going to start Woolery. But the teamsheet had him as sub. My take is Woolery kicked off at being sub (he's been told he's too raw/young but he's older than Clough). Had a row with Lennon. Got dropped. And this is Lennons way of handling it in the press. Thing is Lenny, you are a shit liar. Just ask your wife.

Dante wrote the Inferno in which he travels through hell with the ghost/shade/spirit of Virgil as his guide.
To digress yet further, in book 6 of the Aeneid, Virgil writes of Aeneas' own trip to the underworld where he meets his dead father.
Clear?

As mud. Did Virge use his, how did you describe it, vivid present (?) when he was being himself or when he was a mere tour guide for Dante? Obviously Lennon's reputation hinges on the answer.Prufrock wrote:Virgil wrote the Aeneid which is about the foundation of Rome.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:And just you two wait one goddam minute here... Expected that to be a tweet calling Lennon a c*nt. Holding also the real deal. Bit John Stones for my liking mind. Love that Spearing stopped and just applauded!

Undeniable class indeed. Just hope we manage to hold on to him. We had another like him if I remember, Gary..somebody....oh aye, Cahill, that was it. I believe we have him lassooed for a bit, but nail him down.KeyserSoze wrote:ooof

Have since watched highlights of the game and the penalty incident has split opinion on our own boards. Most are honest enough to admit Bolton deserved at least a point and even being two goals ahead, we were far from the better team. Yes the loss of points after six minutes of added time hurt but once again, it was the very least you deserved after having the best share of possession and chances created.
That one point may be the difference for yourselves between a relegation and staying in the championship league by end of season whereas for us, either play offs again or outside the top six. Wish you well again in your efforts in staying up.

Would anyone accept Lennon staying on as manager next season in League 1 - trying to restore his much damaged reputation with a point to prove to, if he agreed to drop his salary by 50% ?

Nope. I doubt he'd make it to the end of another season without alienating what players we have left.

No. I don't care how much of little he gets paid. He's a useless cock.Peter Thompson wrote:Would anyone accept Lennon staying on as manager next season in League 1 - trying to restore his much damaged reputation with a point to prove to, if he agreed to drop his salary by 50% ?

I turned to my mate and said "Did Holding just do a Cruyff turn on his own six yard line?"KeyserSoze wrote:ooof

It's better than it looked live too! I could watch that all day long. Poetry, like that Elmander goal.
