The agenda of the loonies in education is getting fecking ridiculous, and the Nazi attitude of the SS police needs investigating.

I expect there must be more to it. The father, an UKIP supporter, may have exaggerated. The school may have more than just that to have called 101 (never heard of that number before). However, on the face of it, it does appear outrageous.

meanwhile - UKIP are busy storming the bastions of power at what should be the a high-point of their appeal - the midst of an EU in/out referendum ...

Another council by-election result, following a recent pattern of big percentage gains for The Labour Party in the North West:

Bloomfield (Blackpool) result:
LAB: 57.6% (+12.8 )
CON: 19.2% (-0.6)
UKIP: 15.1% (-10.0)
GRN: 4.1% (-4.6)
LDEM: 4.0% (+4.0)

Osbourne's budget looks pretty good to me. Only smokers appear to be worse off as a result. I quite like that the upper tax threshold will rise from £42,385 to £45,000. Well done, George. :pissed:

Anything I get to keep from what I earn works for me. I still think that the UTL is set way too low though.

It's been lowered over the years which when you take inflation into account is some major fiscal drag, plus I'll be a few hundred quid better off as a result. However, I would rather he kept it if it meant not cutting the disability benefit by £30 a week.
