Maybe Bolton's taxi service's is the 'norm' now then. Most days at midday, Uber’s nondescript office in London’s King’s Cross opens its doors and dozens of men clutching sheaves of driving licences and insurance documents pour in. Many are first- or second-generation immigrants from places such as Afghanistan, Poland, Somalia and Nigeria eager to sign up to drive for the US tech company, whose phone-based minicab-hailing app has transformed the taxi industry in 58 countries.
It has also created for its investors – including Goldman Sachs, Google and Travis Kalanick, its 38-year-old founder – a fortune these drivers can only dream of.
Who is Bolton's Goldman Sachs?

I thought the Saudi's were supposed to be getting a little short on the readies with the price of oil being so low?Egypt’s president, Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, has been criticised at home and abroad for agreeing to transfer two Red Sea islands to Saudi Arabia that have been controlled directly from Cairo for more than 60 years.
The deal on Tiran and Sanafir paves the way for the construction of a bridge linking Saudi Arabia to Sharm el-Sheikh, at the tip of the Sinai peninsula. It was announced at the weekend during a visit by King Salman of Saudi Arabia.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

As long as you're still barred from.the Saddle. I'm going to self bar from there. Some wild eyed lunatic claimed he knew me at the weekend. I denied this and he acted like I was in hiding and started winking like he knew why I was pretending to be someone else. I'd made the innocenf mistake of telling him I was from Great Lever when he asked. I decided it was better to let him think I was a GL gangland kingpin, shake hands and move on rather than explain I'm actually a modern languages teacher. fecking weirdos. Everywhere.

Well why give it a planet number then?"While the existence of Planet 9 remains unproven"
Now it may or may not be there, so might £2,000,000 in my offshore account! and these are the type of bloody scientists who tell us they know everything about climate change?
Guess they'll keep digging until they find some excuse for a planet, a nicked one at that,

I've just learned an ace word. It was in an email to my boss from an outrageously pompous Welsh MD (not Bobo
) who owed us quite a bit of money and I was sent to try and sort it out. He said that I "strode in as the company's plenipotentiary". Ace word
(though I'm not sure that it was meant in nice way
)).

However, the power is generally given by the reigning sovereign so you'd better be careful. The Queen has been getting a tad irritable of late.
