Interesting games in the last 16. Ireland could give France a game I reckon if they can find some energy before Sunday. Seems a bit unfair that some teams play Wednesday, Sunday and others they face played Monday.

Yet the England manager decided against going to Iceland’s game against Austria at Stade de France, passing up the opportunity to see for himself his side’s next opponents.

Apparently they had a special feed set up where he could watch both games and also choose camera angles etc...he sent staff to both games.

I don't like Hodgson but can't blame him for deciding to watch both games in the hotel using the UEFA live technical feed considering he may have ended up going to a game for no reason as easily we could have ended up with a country from the other game.

True. But I think if we sneak an early goal the game will be easy. If we don't then as you say it could be frustrating but still think we've got enough to win it.

We'll either scrape through or be embarrassed. If we did manage a convincing win we'd only go out on penalties after a dire game next round.

It'll soften the blow if Eidur scores the winner for Iceland though.
