Re: Euro Championships 2016
According to the media the FA held talks with Brendan Rodgers about becoming the new England manager earlier this year. Presumably that is not happening (or bollocks) since he's gone to Celtic now. However, if true one would have to question what our FA are smoking if they think Rodgers is in any way suitable.
In my view if Hodgson goes after this tournament and I think he should, the FA should pay whatever it damn well takes to persuade Klinsmann to come and manage England. I think he'd be the breath of fresh air we need and has a proven track record of developing international sides style of play and improving the young players of national sides.

True. But I think if we sneak an early goal the game will be easy. If we don't then as you say it could be frustrating but still think we've got enough to win it.
Round after...not so much.

It was Marc Iles wasn't it?
Why would we want to get rid of our most successful (English) manager of modern times? A 60% win ratio and an average of 2.07 ppg isn't easily replaced.

Because international managers are judged on tournament performance and Hodgson's so far hasn't been very good. He doesn't strike any confidence, and because why should we settle for not winning things?Gary the Enfield wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:According to the media the FA held talks with Brendan Rodgers about becoming the new England manager earlier this year. We shouldn't, but let's consider that for a moment. We've won one tournament. Sun ( bollox) claiming we got a big let off not having to face Ronaldo, as if it would have been a done deal for Portugal. He's one man, not a team and I'll make a guess that the note given to him last night told him to stay in Hungary's box, because I watched him after that and he took hardly any part in the play and did just that while the rest ran around and kept feeding him. What greater satisfaction could there be than sending him home in tears?

Klinsmann's stats are 1.9ppg and a 57.14% win ratio. Hmmm.....
He came 3rd place as Germany Manager in 2006 and won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2013 which is about the same as the Emirates Cup

And he's German.

Johnson's job was under threat before the Copa America. Made a good start with Germany but feel he gets an unfairly large share of the credit.
