Good for you. Now can we pass on..?thebish wrote:Well - bluster asidd , you DID write that your vote was pointless cos the gov would take no notice of the referendum result...TANGODANCER wrote:And what exactly have EU's no negotiations got to do with me not trusting the government to listen to the people? As stated several times, I haven't the faintest idea what is the right or wrong of deciding either way or what the government should do. They're supposed to tell me. Nothing for you to start a debate about.thebish wrote:cos tango reckons the govt will just ignore the result of the referendum...boltonboris wrote:Why is this being raised now? EU have categorically said that there are no negotiations to be had. None. Zilch. This is it, take it or leave it
I think that is VERY unlikely...

Which signs are these? I can't find any either way beyond guesswork and personal hunches.BWFC_Insane wrote:All signs point remain...

Markets are at almost record high, suggests they think remain.
Bookies think remain is odds on.
Nothing definite of course. But polls this week have shown swing to remain.

So nothing beyond guesswork then. I think we will vote to remain, but there are no 'signs' whatsoever just yet, one way or the other.BWFC_Insane wrote:On the day poll just published said 4 point lead for remain.Bruce Rioja wrote:Which signs are these? They are the signs that are there. Another on the day poll says 8 point lead for remain.Bruce Rioja wrote:So nothing beyond guesswork then. Absolutely not saying it is anywhere near solid or definite. A leave win would not surprise me at all.
Just that the few and flimsy signs there are point to remain right now.

Remain should be stuffed if the General Election polls were anything to go by.

Regardless of in or out, 80-odd Conservative MP's supporting Brexit, have written to the PM, after caliing him and his figures complete bollocks for 6 weeks, to tell him what a wonderful bloke he is. That'll be the same set of figures the next election will be fought on, then? What a set of unprincipled self-serving wankers.

Now at 3.30 am your time leave has pulled out to a 200,000 vote lead. With all the London boroughs (or whatever they are called) already counted, the signs may have changed direction. The pound crashed six points right after Sunderland came in.BWFC_Insane wrote:All signs point remain...

Yep. Signs were wrong. Big day I guess.

Blimey, I didn't see THAT coming. Had to get up at daft o'clock to watch history being made. Looks like the beer against Sheffield is on Hoboh. My stockbroker future brother in law is going to be busy today.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Brexit wins. Urgh, the hand-wringing, pointing and namecalling is going to be turned up to 11 today. I might go and live in a cave.

it seems that this "build a new hospital every week" revolution won't be happening anytime soon... apparently we were fools if we thought anything would change overnight... but we have got our country back... yay... errr... and the markets might crash - but they are still OUR markets and we can be proud - we just need to be calm and all get behind Big Dave...

Boris is right behind him. Don't worry what he's holding in his hand, it just looks like a carving knife, but he's right there behind him.thebish wrote:it seems that this "build a new hospital every week" revolution won't be happening anytime soon... apparently we were fools if we thought anything would change overnight... but we have got our country back... yay... errr... and the markets might crash - but they are still OUR markets and we can be proud - we just need to be calm and all get behind Big Dave...
