Won't the Doctor call an ambulance if you turn up at the surgery pal, sweaty and exhausted?
Back in the saddle tonight for the first time since Sunday.
20km to the pool and back with a 1 mile swim in between.
Not training but keen not to lose my fitness.

I thought about going straight to the surgery but I did go home and shower first!Gary the Enfield wrote:Beefheart wrote:Had a doctors appointment this morning so went for an 18k run beforehand. Will have to see how my legs feel tomorrow morning for the park run!

Good to get back at it so quickly, I'm half contemplating signing up for a full marathon at some point after I've done the half.

Well you're not far off half distance now. Get signed up for Manchester 2017 and train through.Beefheart wrote:I thought about going straight to the surgery but I did go home and shower first!Gary the Enfield wrote:Beefheart wrote:Had a doctors appointment this morning so went for an 18k run beforehand. Just had a look cheers. With it being in April that's plenty of time and will keep me focused.Gary the Enfield wrote:Well you're not far off half distance now. Seems you can do a bundle where you sign up for the marathon, a half marathon (this October) and a 10k for £89.

Good value. Unfortunately I don't know if I'll make Bolton half. It's the weekend I get back from holiday and I'm not going to have time.
Good luck with it though, sounds like it's all working out.

Think we spotted Beefy from the Ed Sheeran description. Blue and yellow t-shirt? I was marshalling on the path 50m before you drop down the hill.

Haha, yep! Though I've just had a haircut and a shave so may have regained my anonymity.LeverEnd wrote:Think we spotted Beefy from the Ed Sheeran description. Blue and yellow t-shirt? I was marshalling on the path 50m before you drop down the hill.

No chance. Your idebtity has now been established and future breakfast attendance is compulsory.Beefheart wrote:Haha, yep! There are few things worse in life than your tracker missing half your journey...I swore at the fckr that much, I think it chipped another 27s off my PB before I booted my phone outta the garden.

My brother in law had a similar problem this morning. He isn't complaining though. His parkrun PB went from 29 mins to 20 mins since his last run!Worthy4England wrote:There are few things worse in life than your tracker missing half your journey...I swore at the fckr that much, I think it chipped another 27s off my PB before I booted my phone outta the garden.

I was a minute slower than last time out. Thursdays fell race had taken it out of me and the lack of support from the marshals didn't help. Too busy checking out the totty instead of encouraging the rest of us
