No, no, no, Leverend. What Beefo's saying is that he's had his hair cut and taken a shave to regain anonymity since you spied him. As ever - happy to clarifyLeverEnd wrote:No chance. Your idebtity has now been established and future breakfast attendance is compulsory.Beefheart wrote:Haha, yep! Though I've just had a haircut and a shave so may have regained my anonymity.LeverEnd wrote:Think we spotted Beefy from the Ed Sheeran description. Blue and yellow t-shirt? I was marshalling on the path 50m before you drop down the hill.

Beefy gave himself away when he said that he was an Ed Sheeran lookalike. There's not many of those at Bolton parkrun.Bruce Rioja wrote:No, no, no, Leverend. Was pram man there again? Didn't see him, does that mean I beat him?!
Re: The athletics/running thread
He was around HG at one point because he asked him to help him up the dirt steps at the bottom of the hill! I don't know where he finished. 24-25 ish I'd say.Beefheart wrote:Was pram man there again? Didn't see him, does that mean I beat him?!

Is this a trend? Is this what that bloke is training for?

You do see a few knocking about. I'm going push my little godson around at some point. I'd prefer it to taking a dog round.Beefheart wrote:Is this a trend? Is this what that bloke is training for?

Parkrun considers running with dogs assisted performance and marks results as such. Some sad bastard who regularly finishes first in various Yorkshire parkruns was bitching on Facebook about finishing 2nd to a guy with his dog attached to one of those belt and how it was cheating because it pulled him round faster. While it undoubtedly did it's parkrun FFS!

I had two Cani-cross racers finish ahead of me on a Half Marathon too. The cheating bastards.

How flat is it? I may be up for it next week, if it's not too bad. My fitness finally appears to be returning, which has coincided with your cousin no longer returning my texts. Just a coincidence. I'm sure!LeverEnd wrote:Anyone fancy Haigh Hall for a change on Saturday? ?

I was banking on breakfast this week as a pre-Rammy stomach liner.
Re: The athletics/running thread
Never heard of it. Sounds like a laugh though. I'm useless at anything involving a ball though. Have enough trouble putting one foot in front of another.boltonboris wrote:Have a game of footgolf when you've finished.LeverEnd wrote:Anyone fancy Haigh Hall for a change on Saturday? ?

It's not remotely flat but the first half is all downhill if that helps.Burnden Paddock wrote:How flat is it? I may be up for it next week, if it's not too bad. Someone at work said her sons football team went last week, with all the Dads. They enjoyed it so much they're booking a minibus next and leaving the kids at home!LeverEnd wrote:Never heard of it. Presumably there's an equivalent uphill section? In which case, I might do Worsley or Heaton Park next week.LeverEnd wrote:It's not remotely flat but the first half is all downhill if that helps.Burnden Paddock wrote:How flat is it? Didn't you say 'never again' after the last time at Watergate?
Re: The athletics/running thread
No idea. I say a lot of things. Often bollocks.
I played bubble football recently. Now that's a laugh.
