Anyone going? Anyone care? 7pm kick off seems odd and even a fiver sounds expensive for this cr*p to me.

There will be no-one there. Parky needs to use that as an excuse to try something different. Like attacking. Maybe even the odd pass forward.

I'm going to sit at home and scratch by balls on the couch. Is that less generic? (I have no hair)

No hair on your balls Duncan Goodhew?
I shan't be there (unsurprisingly). Either at the game OR at LE's watching him scratch his bald balls.

Re: Blackpool (H) CT 4/10/16 7pm
According to Iles in the BN:
For the record, Saturday's XI was:
Howard, Vela, Beevers, Wheater, Moxey, Spearing, Henry, A Taylor, Trotter, Madine, Clough
Our leading appearance-makers, in the league, are:
Howard 11, Wheater 11, Trotter 10+1, Vela 10+1, Beevers 10+0, Spearing 10+0
Against Everton we chose:
Howard, Buxton, Beevers, Vela, C Taylor, Proctor, A Taylor, Wilson, Woolery, Perry, Earing
Surely he's got to give Alnwick a runout. (Howard played against Everton, but it was the day before the deadline so we only had one grown-up goalkeeper.) Can't imagine him risking Wheater, Madine and Clough... oh, Christ knows.
Those rules seem unclear (what does "five of the club's leading appearance makers" mean? Five of the 30?), and the Football League's website is f*ck-all use.Parkinson is expecting to make changes but is bound by the regulations of the competition to name five of his starting line-up from the Oxford game, or conversely five of the club’s leading appearance makers this season (…) the likes of Gary Madine, Zach Clough and David Wheater (are) unlikely to be risked (…) youngsters Alex Perry and Jack Earing could get another shot at first team football.

I'm guessing it's any five of your five top appearance makers and/or 11 players who started the last game, but I have just made that up.

Yeah, thanks for that. Each EFL Club shall play its full available strength in and during all Matches. The League will from time to time issue a policy as to what constitutes 'full available strength'. Any Club failing to meet this requirement will be required to pay a fine of up to £5,000.

See, I'm with that one from Somerset on this one when he was manager at Blacklpool and they played Villa (I think). He'd been asked to tender a squad of 25 players. Which of those 25 he selects for any given game is his business, not anybody else's.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:From the official rules:Prufrock wrote:I'm guessing it's any five of your five top appearance makers and/or 11 players who started the last game, but I have just made that up.Yeah, thanks for that. Each EFL Club shall play its full available strength in and during all Matches. Just pick whatever team wont get us a fine and tell the players to stroll around and be inept. Nobody will notice the difference

I'm really struggling to comprehend how it's possible for us to field a weakened side after that.Athertonian wrote:Not a game for me, I'm still stressed out from Saturday's game.

parkinson should give Samizadeh and thorpe and osede and give a chance to young player who play left back and another right back . this match should be for youngster player to try and prove they deserve to play more than player who play every week in first team and can't do any thing.
