Yeah agree. Lots of positives. We worked hard and look so much better without Trotter in the team. Thought Thorpe had a great game

Anyone know what happened in Horwich? Lot of trouble by all accounts?
I was told earlier that some Bolton lads had gone up to the Saddle before the game where some Oldham fans were drinking - but was told that it wasn't that serious & just handbags

Seems like that MEN have got hold of it though....

Can you talk us through said "Hatfull" please, Willy? :?

They were both more profligate than, I'm sure, anyone might have liked, but I don't think that we created that many clear-cut opportunities for them.

Well there was the one on one ameobi fluffed. There was the one he bust through then stopped dead instead of shooting. Madine bit a couple wide, one header went for a throw in almost another went about ten feet wide

Parky has won 6 league games out of 13.

Before he arrived, Bolton had won only 6 in their last 55.

When you take that into account it is a remarkable start to the season.

Great stuff and I'm gutted I can't make Millwall on Tuesday despite it being my local game.

When was the last time we won by 2?

Bolton winning was fantastic, Bradford and Bury losing was even better, just a shame about the Scunthorpe result, would have been a perfect day otherwise.

Marc Iles saying Bolton nearly pulled Tom Thorpe out of today's squad because he had been ill all night. Makes his performance all the better that he still managed 78 minutes. Probably why he was taken off for Derik.

Thorpe was our best player, behind the usual trio of Beever Wheater and Spearing. Thought it was odd he was subbed. Makes sense now.

I realise this is going to be quoted out of context. My point in saying that was in response to the justified criticism Henry got when he missed his best chance.

Yet Clough missing his was 'ah well'.

Our biggest winning margin since beating MK Dons 3-1 back in January.

Glad Derik got some time in holding mid as that's his best position and if we are going to play 4231 we need options.

Historical note: in our last 13 games pre-Parky at this level we won 11, drew one, lost one. Now that's a good run.

A time I remember so well. A time of, if not arrogance then certainly one of extreme confidence. Things like Exeter taking the lead at our place and celebrating like they'd won summat being met with a collective make-the-most-of-it Paddock shrug (BWFC 4 Exeter 1) and going into the last 10 or 15 minutes at home to Chester with the score at 0-0 knowing that there was only going to be one outcome (BWFC 5 Chester 0). Wonderful days. Thanks, Bruce. :)

Got a bit nervy towards the end though, Stoke game and Preston particularly.
