Can someone tell me if it's safe to open the above link or is it likely to make my ears bleed, as is usual with Keyser's musical suggestions?!
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Nick Cave's "Skeleton Tree"... powerful, mesmerising, oozing, dripping stuff... can't help but listen to it in the knowledge that his son died recently...

From the reviews I've read I was reading that into them. Thanks for the confirmation. So, for a geezer that loves Cave's sardonic chirpiness, is ST an album I'll enjoy, do you think?thebish wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:thebish wrote:Nick Cave's "Skeleton Tree"... powerful, mesmerising, oozing, dripping stuff... can't help but listen to it in the knowledge that his son died recently...

"Went to watch the film that came out last Thursday 'One More Time With Feeling'. Very moving, NC summed up how he & his wife tried to deal with life after the son died 'We decided to be happy. It seemed like an act of defiance'".

A very decent and interesting review for you here, Bish (and anyone else, of course).

Just watching LWJH from Tuesday. I never was a big fan of Keane, but what a fecking incredible voice Tom Chaplin has.

Bands that everybody else is happy to flock to massive venues to see - but who you wouldn't watch if they were playing on your drive? Biffy Clyro.

I've had the misfortune...they were supporting someone or other. I went in, turned straight round and sat outside gently weeping (well I may have a beer or two, to be fair) until the main act came on...Bruce Rioja wrote:Bands that everybody else is happy to flock to massive venues to see - but who you wouldn't watch if they were playing on your drive? I'm going to go for Springsteen. I don't dislike Springsteen and some of his songs are grand. But when he's one hour into a three hour set and you don't recognize one freaking song, because he's done 800 albums. To be honest, I just couldn't be arsed waiting for another hour for him to get to a song I knew. That's after I missed him at Roundhay Park in 1984 and didn't get chance to get a ticket until about 15 years later...
