Home game. Trotter suspended. Spearing already back and firing. What could possibly go wrong?

The difference in the way we play with him and without him is staggering. He really is that bad. As much as I dislike singling people out it's warranted in his case.

They have sod-all Sordell up front and we have the Cowardly Lion. So Clough and 1-0 :pissed:

Sordells been banging them in hasnt he? Strikes me as a bottler though, so hopefully he'll do feck all. Suspect he has more than Gary Madine mind...and probably more than Proctor has scored in his career...

4 in 14 league starts this season. 4 in 19 league starts last season.

In league one. We spent 3M on him as a Premiership club. Frightening really.

And Proctor if he did feck all else beyond the shit he's served up so far would still be far better value than Marvin 'I'm scared cos my mummy isn't here' Sordell.

He scored two last week against morecambe in the cup - goals on bbc website. Both decent strikes to be fair. More talented than his career shows I think but definitely a proper fanny. Hope he gets some deserved abuse tonight.

Had to smile when I read this, was it Hunt teed it up for Willie Carr or is my memory deceiving me.

I seem to recall my first ever night match was against Coventry in a cup game in 75 (So either I was 8 or I'd just turned 9 :) ) We lost either 3-0 or 3-1. Tommy Hutchinson gave us a right old runaround.

I was at that game. I was on my honeymoon and up in Newton Stewart but at about 3pm decided to drive back for the game. That went down well, I seem to remember.

10 Sep 1975, according to 11v11. Cov were top tier, we wanted to be. Lost 3-1, and among their scorers was David Cross, who later turned up at ours (as discussed on here recently). And here's a thread about an interview with Cross himself.

Considering injuries - and a certain lump serving a suspension - no complaints from me on that line up
