Only two major injuries, Howard and Wheater and both decently covered (hopefully on the keeper's part) . Might be a tight scrap but I'm going for another 2-0. COME ON YOU WHITES.... :oyea: :oyea:

A strange premonition that tonight will be the night of the Machine.

Anyway, the stage is set, thermal underwear donned and Coventry dressed in black shirts. Away we go.....and a free kick already to us just outside the box (our box that is) . We start with a bit of possesion and the ball goes all round the ground and back again. Madine does well and....we get a corner as the keeper palms one out. They clear.

Derik sends us away but they get a throw. Mic man gives a couple of scores then the visitors have a sniff but Spearing clears and we get a goal kick. Ref is Stockbridge and.....Zac lets one go that goes at the keeper. It's a shot and.....we go to Bramhall Lane where the heroes of bucket-shaking a re playing. Now then, we sally at em via Sammi and we try again. And......ohhhh, the keeper makes a cracking save from...and we get a corner. Any road up, we seem to have made a pretty decent start. Crowd applauding a memory of Gary Speed, five years on Sunday since his sad demise.

Some chat amongst the micmen then the visitors sally forth and have a wee bit of possesion. Wilson loses the ball then Taylor does well and tries to set Zac off. Madine gives one away and a long range effort goes from them goes. And...it's 1-0 via Zac.... :oyea: into the ether.

We keep the ball and start again from the back. Zac, Ameobi, Vela and......they block and the liner does a wrong one and gives them our throw. Beevers and then another long hopeful from the visitors goes nowhere....as we go to the Bury game.

Back in reality football Zac gives one away, Derik robs a visitor and we clear. Throw us now and.....Thorpe, Spearing, Beevers, Derik....Wilson and.....a good tackle comes in but we get the ball back. Ameobo and Spearing set us forth. Taylor floats one, but Vela wanders just offside. Here come the visitors again and they win a corner. And....Wilson cleares to Clough who just can't keep it in and they get a throw.

Here they come via Sordell who loses the ball then reclaims it. Reed (dislike that name immensely) causes a bit of aggro and they have a free kick now. Wilson, Thorpe, Spearing and Ameobi figure for us and Alnwick wallops one forth. Throw us and Taylor and Beevers clear. Deryk now then Zac and we play a bit of Barcelona stuff but they have a goal kick. Come on lads, get us in a position of safety. Wilson and Ameobi do well and Coventry have a throw. Spearing plays off Reid and we have a goal kick. Madine now, then a bit of us and them before Sammi goes and......wins a corner after a good run. Spearing and......headed out, sent back and....Sordell scrambles it clear. Sammi wins another corner and.....Spearing again and....and...Madine heads it back in before we have some posssesion. Zac feeds Wilson and....Burns clears. Throw them and...some scores....then....Deryk clears, they sally then Thorpe does well and......Taylor and.....Spearing and....gets the good words as Clough sets Spearing up bu the keeper saves well.

Beever does well and ....mic men have a chat about this and that, then....a bit more chat about.....Madine gets us a throw and Spearing, Thorpe Vela......Thorpe, Taylor .....Clough....Thorpe and....we get a free kick. Bury have one sent off. Now, the kick comes in and.....the keeper grabs and clears. We win it back from Reid then Wilson gets s throw, then they get one in replay. Derik, Beevers, Alnwick, wallop and.....their keeper grabs it. We give it away and they sally at us and....that Reid fella hits a good one that Alnwick has to dive and save......They get another chance and....they're getting a bit frisky. Vela clears but back they come...."Bolton defending well" says micman then Sammi feeds Madien Vela Clough, Sammi, Wilson and.......oohhhhh the keeper gets in the way of A Zac effort.

Some to and fro, some chat, then some more chat the....Taylor and Vela do well. Spearing, Torpe, Sammi....Derik, Beevers and a poor ball sees Sordell set them off. Thorpe gets involved then it ends back with their keeper. Now a free kick us as we visit Bramhall Lane to hear....nothing new. Back in the cauldron.... we resume. Free kick us and the gladiarors move forward. Spearing and...the keeper clears and they visit. Throw them then..Ameobi gives one away with five to lemon time. We clear and move forth and Taylor gets good words from the mic lads. Some possesion then.....some more...and....we get a corner from a bit of carelessness by a defender. Spearing now and....Spearing thought he was offside and let it go out. Sammi loses out but we get a throw. Reid intercepts and the visitors well, visit. Vela, Derik, Beevers etc, etc....then Zac and....Sammi, Vela, Taylor and....we get another corner. Spearing again and......headed clear. Spearing again, Wilson, they break via Reid and we recover. One minute added. Clough harrasses then a long throw and.....Taylor and....its 1-0 us at the break.

Curtain rises on the second act. We need another goal to ease the tension that Rennies haven't managed to shift at half time. Still fancying the Machine to attain hero status tonight but anybody wll do to score for us. Game's underway and we've had the chances for sure claims micman. Reid has some impact then Clough broke but lost it. Throw us now and....we go to Bramhall Lane. Did I mention Bury are playing with ten men? Anyway, back at home Beevers clears our box. Alnwick almost cocked up a Beevers back pass (I think) but we get away with it. Beevers really figuring well and then a bit of sloppy stuff before Derik sends Wilson away. Clough wins us a throw near their box. Thorpe and....Wilson. Ameobi, Clough, Taylor and....they clear. Derik steps up as 12,290 crowd announced with some 500 Coventry faithfuls.

Now then, let's get this sorted out lads. Mic lads are rambling about summat and nowt before we get a throw. And.....the visitors have some possession that sees Sordell involved. Alnwick catches a long range effort then Madine loses out for a throw. And now.....chat time then Derik, Wilso, Thorpe and Beevers send it back to Alnwick and......Clough challenges ell and robs Sordell. Beever gets the good words "signing of the season" claims mic man. Free kick us now from our half and....some score mither then.....Thorpe, Derik, Madine's header cleared but Vela tries one but they clear and Reid goes hunting and wins a free kick. In it goes, cleared twic by us then Vela feeds Wilson. Vela again and Clough is onside and......oh.....the keeper saves Coventry again...

Vela, Wlson, Thorpe, Spearing and......and......we get a free kick and their defender (Sherry?) gets a harsh card. And.....and.......and......and....hits the post and is cleared.....

Clough hit the free kick from 25 yards and hit the post. Now we have a corner and....the keeper punches. Vela does well and we get a throw via Spearing. Taylor and.....Clough held back and...Sammi does well and....Spearing calms it down. Sammi again but loses out and....it ends with a throw for us. Let's go to Bramhall shall we? Still no excitement there so lets get back to real football. And Reid sets them off again but Beevers cleers, Clough now and Madine can't get a header. Jody Jones and ..somebody else come on for them (Lamiere?) Goal kick them and......Sammi gets it then loses it. They try again but Alnwick steps up and clears. They come again and.....we clear and....Reid has it. Sordell gets a booking for a challenge on Spearing and we get a free kick. COME ON YOU WHITES......get stuck in and put it to bed.
