What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

I thought Westworld was great, but they kind of shoehorned too much into the last episode. I think 12 eps would have worked better

**Potential spoiler alert**

Still think it's part of the 'narrative' though, otherwise it's difficult to see where season 2 will go

I read somewhere that the whole of season 1 was an elaborate preamble to the real story which will kick off in S2...?

Often seems that way... TVs and movies starting off slow and then build up to an epic conclusion

Agreed, not a big fan of them generally, and though Force Awakens was a bit shit but I loved Rogue One.

I enjoyed Rams. It's rather bleak, as is Kaurismäki's work - except for Leningrad Cowboys Go America which is a lot of nonsense/fun.
Finally got round to watching Rams. A truly fantastic piece of work. Its bleakness in many ways accentuates its overall beauty.

Just watched To Walk Invisible, a BBC period drama depicting the grim and gritty lives of the Bronte sisters up in Haworth, Yorkshire, and their struggles to see their writings published. A brilliant performance by Adam Nagaitis a local born actor (who I had to look up as I'm not familiar with him) as Branwell Bronte, the violent drunken brother who made life miserable for the family.(Some poetic licence was used in the story in depicting his character). In typical B.B.C fashion they turned the village of Haworth convincingly back a hundred and fifty years to make the drama. I know Haworth quite well and I was amazed at what they did. Enjoyed it and they don't come much grittier than that. In real life, the Brontes all died young, Anne, 29, Branwell 31, Emily 30 and Charlotte 39..

If you like grim and gritty BBC i player will have it. Well worth a watch imo...

I thought it was good but yeah, not as good as Shakespeare.

Whilst ignoring any spurious connection between Mrs Brown and Brexit, ( never miss a trick, do they?) the biggest problem with it is it should have packed in after two episodes (maybe even one). First couple were funny enough to raise a laugh at what seemed a deliberate attempt to do just that, but, as many other initially interesting one-offs,the producers just keep pounding out ever decreasing content rubbish. In Mrs Brown's case (his), a fortnight should have seen it back in the Emerald Isle. It was no more series material than Brendan O'Carrol is a comedien.
(well, he is, but not in the funny ha-ha sense). To even mention it in the same sentence as Father Ted is sacreligious.

"Single entendres" is my new favorite insult for bad comedy.

Just started on Westworld, watched Ep.1. Looking good
