Its highly likely that we will lose anyway, so it just doesn't make sense to me to risk all of the 1st team especially after losing on Saturday.

The likes of Proctor, C Taylor, Clayton & Derik need games, so it would have been an ideal opportunity to play them - very poor decision by PP in my opinion if it his decision alone ?, because we'll lose against City anyway should we somehow get through tonight....it has to be money driven, gambling with playing the 1st team with the hope of winning and getting £200k or so in the next round.

Unless £200k or so really is the difference between bringing in a loan striker for the rest of the season or not ? if Anderson won't put any more money in - I suppose the next 90 -120 mins will tell.

In my opinion its a stupid decision to risk injuries / suspensions etc....he / they (the Anderson's) must be putting the cup above automatic promotion - I honestly don't care about the result tonight, I just hope that we don't lose players for more important League games or put our 1st team players through extra time....I'm sure that he could have picked the likes of Proctor, C Taylor, Derik, Clayton, Moxey, Trotter etc....
The flip side is that the money that the fourth round tie brings in might mean that we can afford to fund Ameobi's return, or sign a striker on loan, or even just allow us pay the players' wages.

A multitude of Tower F.M ads out of the way, here we are in the land of bubbles and ready to go. We're playing from left to right (work that one out)Zico is in the box with micman, fans applaud Graham Taylor's memory for a minute ...and...we're off.

We get first touch and...Madine gets first long ball touch. Back with Ben now and mic man rambles about this and that and Zico echoes, then we sally via Henry but they clear and then we do like wise. Wheater does well and away we go via some deep passing. Beevers fires one, ball falls for Zac, Vela comes in, Clough, good cross and......it goes just over Madine's head.

Throw for the homers and....Vela goes, Wilson, they clear, we come back and Vela wins a throw. Wilson, Madine, Ledley clears twice, some hassle then Chungy helps out and then runs at us and Townsend wins the first corner....And....it's grabbed by Ben. Sam says unless they beat us they're not Prem players. Spearing does well, then Spearing clears and we almost get Zac away. Chungy, Flamni, Ward and we clear. Remy comes and....we clear again and come forth.

Site's acting up a bit but nothings happened yet. The homers come and Chungy gets a cross in and a volley from it goes for a goal kick. Madine wins and feeds Vela but Palace get a throw. Micman and Ziico have a chat about this and that then Zac gets one in and Vela lashes one past the post....

That, apparently, was very close. Homers have the ball, Chungy and Townsend come forth, then Flamini and Chungy, then Remy and....Wilson clears a cross and mic man give the hammers the plaudits as they win a corner. And.....inswinger and....Ben grabs it as Big Sam has a rant....

Nah. Bollox to all that Premier league mentality of only concentrating on the league. Look where that got us. We're small time again. Let's try and win every game by fielding the strongest side available

And....Henry tries but Townsend robs him then " messes it up " say micman. Chungy comes at us and Wilson throws his body in the path for a corner again and......Ben catches it for a third time. Wallop and.....mic lads chat and....then...Kai-Kai tries a shot. We clear via Wheater and they get a throw. Beavers fires one long and it goes out for a throw off Madine. Throw them, Kai Kai gets them another...mic lads have another chat then....Townsend comes, crossed and cleared by Beevers. Back they come, Chungy, Flamini, Chungy again and Taylor gives away a corner. Thorpe clears well and back they come again. Spearing now, but Zac can't keep a poor pass in. They visit again, Remi, Townsen...and another corner to them And.......and......we clear. Henry goes and.....Zac chases but is beateb to it... Chungy comes again, Ledley, Fryer, Ledley and it goes back to their keeper.

And.....their big lads gather, we break, they reclaim and....Beevers gives one away...And...Townsend comes at us, Wilson and Thorpe clear. Throw them, Kai Kai and....Kelly and Ward. Now we have a corner after a quick break. Spearing and......and...Wheater hits one but it's not on target.

Goal kick them, Zac heads it back, they come again and.....Beevers boots it clear. Chungy, Ward.......and....we clear, Zac loses the ball, gets in a tussle and we clear. Back they come and....Thorpe clears for a throw. Sound like all the pressure is coming from the homers but we're holding well. Throw them (mic man says it should be ours) Madie, Beevers, cleared and comes back to Beevers. Spearing, Thorpe, Wilson......Wheater, Spearing back wards we go. Vela gives one away then Delaney comes forth for them. Tayler, we lose it, Fryer comes, we give away a throw and....Kai Kai runs over Spoearing's leg and gets a free kick edge of our box.....And.......and....bends one just wide of the post ( Zico says it was five feet wide)..

Spearing, Taylor, Beevers, loses it, Chungy comes, Ledley, Townsend.....Flamini,.....Remi....Wilson clears for a corner as we appeal for offside to no avail. Kai Kai and.....the ball's in the net but we get a free kick and Ledley gets a card for deliberate handball.

Completely agree. I don't support wanderers to be a sensible pragmatist. If it were a guaranteed straight choice between promotion or cup run that's different. This is the fa cup not some u23 stepping stone bullshit. Try to win and keep dreaming.

Wallop from Ben, Wilson comes, Madine, Taylor, a deflect and they come at us. Townsend....Kai Kai and another corner... Ben saves one on the line after a real chance for them. Burnley go one up, we visit. Zac .....and Zico can't tell us what happened because he's behind a stanchion....but we got a corner. Poor one, they clear and....it ends in a goal kick them.

Free kick them off a Madine challenge, Spearing, Madine, they win it and come visiting . Chungy tries to set something up but we get a goal kick. Mic lads are moaning about the view then....Beevers ans Spearing clear. Back to Ben, wallop and they have it. Chungy gets slid into Row One by Thorpe and they get a nother free kick. Kai-Kai and.....will he shoot...? And.....well, it goes nowhere to the amusement of Zico and mic man. Ben wallops forth.....eventually....and...Madine, Zac, Spearing, Taylor....Spearing, Zac goes to ground and mic lads not amused at him. Dive....Henry now, Thorpe, Henry...and...it breaks down. Homers visit again, Kai-Kai, Ward, Wilson has to nod it out for another corner. And.....Townsend and....and....we part clear, Chungy come it, they get it back.....and Ben does well to save a rasper...

Some possesion us, then they reclaim and Chungy and Townsend cause a bit of aggro but we clear. Beaver, Wheater, and we get a throw around halfway. Half time approaching as Madine does okay, but has to give a throw away. Mic and Zico reckon we're not doing so bad (must be because their eighty four attempts failed) Chungy, ....and Wheater gets it safely to Ben. And....and......Madine and.....a bit of a scramble then here they come again and Townsend sends one way over...

Zico moaning about the cold ( as ever) and mic man ribs him about Scousers and balaclavas. Throw them, Taylor clears, it comes to Henry...or does it....and....Taylor clears as one minute added announced. Mic lads ramble on, Speroni clears, Townsend comes, Chungy joins in, Wilson nods one clear and Ben grabs it....and....it's 0-0 at half time. Brew time...

No surprise we were under severe pressure a good part of the time, indeed well expected. We did have a couple of shooting chances but mainly our defence held against an amazing number of corners. Sam not over amused it seems at them no taking advantage, anyway, Sam's history. Parky is the man.

For what it's worth, Blackpool and Burnley are both one goal up in other cup games and Ipswich goalless. So, can we do the almost impossible, hold out and grab a winner? Well, why not. I'm betting the temp in the home dressing room is a wee bit warm right now, but I reckon Parky is pleased with our defence so far. Part Two beckons. COME ON YOU WHITES...... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:
