BWFC_I, you can add to that list Trump's withdrawal of the US of A from the Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade Agreement. No mucking about, no drawn out discussions, no ballyhoo, just putting pen to paper to act as scissors and cut the tie.

Could there be a reason God put America so far away from everywhere else..? Just wondering....

Funny, I've just been trawling back and can find no reference to me stating £350 million would be spent on the NHS.Worthy4England wrote:Hoboh wrote:I will concede that since Erdoğan has decided to climb into bed with Putin, membership is now probably a non-starter.
It wasn't the case before the vote, if the flow of refugees had not been stemmed, Merkel and a few others would have changed their tune in the better interests of the EU.
I shudder to think what pressure Putin applied.![]()

At least you lasted longer on this one, than the £350m for the NHS...
I had a disagreement, mainly with bish, over the amount which is correct until the dwindling rebate is taken away, including that it is somewhere in the region of £248 million per week.
Still never mind

Generalisms have never particularly seemed to perturb you...
You would probably not be able to count the number of times you post "you're all..." and "they're all..." in relation to people who voted remain....or worse still...liberals.
Suck it up.

If this was the other way round there'd be a queue of people wanting to point it out.
Important to note, there are Muslim terrorists, Christian terrorists, Jewish terrorists, terrorists of no specific religion etc etc
Ultimately they are all terrorists.

Re: The Politics Thread
Some facts:
There have been zero fatal terror attacks on U.S. soil since 1975 by immigrants from the seven Muslim-majority countries President Donald Trump targeted with immigration bans on Friday
Twenty-three percent of the Muslim Americans involved with violent extremist plots since Sept. 11, 2001, had family backgrounds in Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen, according to a Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security report released this week. None of those plots resulted in American deaths. Similarly, none of the 19 plane hijackers on 9/11 were from any of those seven countries.
According to the report, that brings the total number of U.S. deaths caused by Muslim American extremists since 9/11 to 123. By way of comparison, in 2016 alone, 188 people were killed on U.S. soil in mass shootings not involving Muslim American extremists, the report says.

It is pretty big news here I can tell you. However, we know nothing about the motives of the attackers yet. They could be terrorists or they could be lunatics (or both).BWFC_Insane wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38793071

Nope. not at all. The continent of North America includes both Mexico and Canada ( a lot of people lump South America in with north as a continent)Montreal Wanderer wrote:I think you are confusing America with Australia.TANGODANCER wrote:Could there be a reason God put America so far away from everywhere else..? Re: The Politics Thread
Actually I've had a bit of a Damascus moment. We should support our special relationship with the fine, upstanding rednecks, in relation to US wall building. I wouldn't want to see those nasty Mexicans nipping round the side of the wall, so I think the global citizens of the world should club together to fund the parts of the wall going up the West Coast, East Coast and just in case the sneaky buggers try to go over the top-side, between the US and Canada too.
I would recommend no doors as they're inherently unsafe.
I would also want to see TV jamming signals along the length of the new wall, to ensure those Mexicans can't get US quality TV programming for free.

Read the official statement from Trump, firing the Attorney General. Accuses her of "insubordination and betrayal".
This really is, so so similar to Nazi Germany now. The tone of it, almost read like something you could imagine being drafted for someone before they are taken out to be shot.
