Over Hill, Over Dale - Tuesday 14th February (H)
Valentine's night, red roses, romance and perhaps, if we're lucky, a threesome at the back again?

Tough game and given the away matches we've got coming up, one we've got to win.
Tight affair. 1 nil win hopefully. Long

They'll be scalp hunting us. Need to get some dominance in early and we can get another three points here.. In fact, with a home game we must, and will do that . 3-0 ,us.

Quite liked the look of the three at the back system on Saturday. I trust that we'll be sticking with it for a short while.

Think he will stick with the same team (Parky seems to like a settled team) hopefully with the same outcome! Think this will be a tougher match than Saturday going for 2-1 (Trotter unlikely to score another one of them and never seen Madine score 2 on the bounce?)

I actually feel a little uneasy about tonight. I didn't realise that they're only four places behind us and a draw tonight puts them in the play-off spots with us.Norpig wrote:Think he will stick with the same team (Parky seems to like a settled team) hopefully with the same outcome! I note that they got a decent draw away at Fleetwood on Saturday too.
I was also there to see how utterly shite we were at their place, which I guess doesn't help.

They've actually fallen away in recent weeks Bruce. For a good while they were the best of the rest behind us, scunny and Sheffield. Think they've lost a couple 4-0 and drawn a couple of others.

I think/hope we've moved on a little both in attitude and method lately. The much maligned Trotter may even be inspired by his goal and be a midfield stalwart. Not that it's anything to hang your hat on, but mic man and Zico (in marked contrast to a couple on here) both reckoned we played pretty well Saturday. Reckon I'll stand behind the boss man's choices, who seems both positive and confident and managing to get something out of the lads. Having met my first wife in Rochdale I owe no allegience there (although she actually came from Walsden and I lived a couple of years up in six-gun country) and think we should stamp our authority on this match.....course we should....Come on you Whites, another four goals being over optimistc?

Spot on, Jim. I've just had a look at their results and they did put a cracking run together but then they seem to find themselves on the end of a coupon-buster like losing 3-0 at Gillingham.

Don't wish to put the jinx on or 'owt but we are usually charitable to teams who have 'lost their way'.Bruce Rioja wrote:jimbo wrote:They've actually fallen away in recent weeks Bruce. DSB described Parky as a streaky manager. I'm hoping Saturday was the start of a new streak that will run to the end of the season

I seem to have had a larger problem selling the prospect of "Rochdale at Home", than I had with "It's Atletico" which was also on Valentine's Day...
I'll have to try and get away with some furtive fiddling under the table.

Rochdale! Has a kind of Champions League ring about it, you know, sort of Rochdale Munchin Gladrags or Real Rochdale....what, er...okay.
"Every game's a cup final" quoteth Zico from the squawk box. Mic man reckons it can go either way depending which Rochdale turn up, well, I'll take the one we get a win and three points off regardless. COME ON YOU WHITES.....

It's Derby night..claims Chris Price..."Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" he asks in poetic mood then, okay....Teams out, mentions of that St Valentine stuff in the mic box, mic man calls Zico "Sugar Puff"...then to the serious stuff and we're off.
