Shouldn't they also have more than one football?

It isn't like he booted the ball immediately. It did look like a time wasting thing. Even if it wasn't. Most refs would interpret a player doing that after his side took the lead with a few minutes to go as "timewasting".

Nine. More bookings than Ken Dodd, etc.Bruce Rioja wrote:I imagine that it was possibly also to do with accumulation. Spearing is constantly the one who delays our opponents from taking free kicks etc by walking away with the ball under his arm before dropping it elsewhere. Mate, make all the excuses you like for him but when I see our club captain who's an integral part of our side acting like a cock whilst on 5 bookings (or whatever it is) ahead of two crucial games at a pivotal part of our season then it's not the ref that I'll be calling out on this one.
Of all the ways to get a tenth (tenth!) yellow, it's unfortunate and annoying. It's also really bad luck that this booking (and all its older brothers) rules him out of two games against promotion rivals. I understand your ire (coupled, interestingly, with a notable and commendable thawing toward Trotter) but I really can't imagine it's him getting himself an Ibiza holiday; indeed, after his performances this season, mention of that Instagram incident is a clear warning that trust is hard won, easy lost...

I've been thinking about your remark re my thawing towards Trotter, DSB. I don't think my opinion of him has ever really changed. He's a very limited player and I accept that. I also don't think he should have been brought to the club, but he tries his best and I fully accept his limitations. Nor does he do stupid things like getting booked for being childish. My gripe is with supporters booing him and getting on his case.

Fair enough, Bruce. I imagine he's getting dog's abuse right about now.

Two many players missing. And we simply don't have a strong enough midfield to support two strikers away from home.
Next week I think he has to go Madine up on his own. We need to keep games tight for 70 minutes then perhaps bring Alfie on. We aren't good enough to do anything else.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with your choices of personnel, but... while I don't follow the egg-chasing, I thought this Telegraph piece was interesting on tactical changes during games of Angry Cuddling.BWFC_Insane wrote:Next week I think he has to go Madine up on his own. EDIT This report covers the same ground and shouldn't need sign-in.
