Re: Neither Fish nor Foul. Fleetwood (A) 11/3/17 15:00
I can't think of a line up that works for this game. Thorpe and Derik in the middle means surrendering possession and being on the back foot for most of the game, without any pace or penetration to take advantage of our rare attacks. Trotter is out of form, or possibly disinterested, and anyway is at his worst away from home. Le Fondre to me doesn't fit in a Parky team, at least from the start. If we had Long avaiable I could see some merit in a 4-2-3-1 with Wabara at right back, and Derik, Vela, Morais as the three in the middle, with Long and Solomon flanking Madine. But Long isn't available and Solomon will be a risk Parky doesn't want to take, and Wabara might not be match fit.
2-0 to them.
2-0 to them.

I'd like to see us play a little less regimented and predictable and a bit more fluid and unexpected, sort of like our player scoring from the right wing whilst playing left back (Ricky Gardner) or a holding midfielder scoring from forty yards (Ivan Campo..both comments prompted by the recent article of all "our yesterdays" and both remembered well) . Surely Phil allows them to think on the hoof and be just a little bit maverick as a surprise move occasionally? Has football become so stylised that teams like Fleetwood can beat us by playing Subutteo because they always know what comes next? I'm really hoping the Wheelbarra chap can do the unexpected and shock the kippers.

Think it's pretty obvious we aren't going to dominate the ball tomorrow. Solid centre, pace out wide, please.

Wanderers remain hopeful they can offer ex-Reading midfielder Jem Karacan a short-term deal.
The EFL say a one-month contract could be allowed under league rules if the club can prove they cannot name 18 fit players in a matchday squad.

To cite a time when we were at our most regimented and organised and ruthlessly efficient at it, makes me laugh.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2017 4:15 pmI'd like to see us play a little less regimented and predictable and a bit more fluid and unexpected, sort of like our player scoring from the right wing whilst playing left back (Ricky Gardner) or a holding midfielder scoring from forty yards (Ivan Campo..both comments prompted by the recent article of all "our yesterdays" and both remembered well) . The difference of course is that Ricardo Gardner and Campo were considerably better than our current team.

But then again, we're not playing 2005 Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal...so they shouldn't actually have to be as good as Campo...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2017 9:11 amTo cite a time when we were at our most regimented and organised and ruthlessly efficient at it, makes me laugh.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2017 4:15 pmI'd like to see us play a little less regimented and predictable and a bit more fluid and unexpected, sort of like our player scoring from the right wing whilst playing left back (Ricky Gardner) or a holding midfielder scoring from forty yards (Ivan Campo..both comments prompted by the recent article of all "our yesterdays" and both remembered well) . The way we,ve been recently we could probably prove we can't name 8 fit players..TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2017 9:01 amBN saying today:jonnycooper wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2017 8:47 pmWhat's happening with this gem of a fella?? Anyone know?

I think the away end had sold out when I looked online. A few of the away games I've looked at have been sold out too. Is the allocation not very big or is the appetite for seats really that great?

Away end only holds about 350 ,,their ground is a bit like a miniature version of Burnden . Ground has a 5000 capacity...

Pratley's back, and Karacan's on the bench.

It's certainly a novel way of announcing a new signing.
