Fleetwood have 3 tough games coming up with Swindon at home, Oxford away and Oldham away. If they lose 2 out of those 3 and we can take 4 points from the next 3 matches, arguably our hardest of the run in, I think we're up automatically. I quite fancied a trip to Wembley, but I'd take 2nd all day.

They go to Oxford 3 days after Oxford have been at Wembley for the EFL trophy. So not sure that fixture is as hard as it may look.

Not sure I'd class Swindon at home as that tricky, I mean I get Swindon are fighting for their lives, but if they drop points in that game we look pretty good.

Fleetwood have the best fixtures in my view, and we should be prepared for them to win 5 games. I think we will be very unlucky if we get 85 or more points and don't go up.

The good thing about Swindon is that they seem to perform well against the better teams. They were 1-0 at Bradford with 5mins to go last week, beat Millwall this week, beat us at the Macron in January.

Fleetwood aren't currently looking like a team that are just going to tear it up during the run in. They are finding it hard to score, have a lot of injuries, a small squad, and their players don't have a lot of experience of promotion run ins. Their fixtures are mostly against teams fighting for the play offfs or to stay up. I don't think they will win 5, I can seem them getting 12 points max.

I am optimistic. We are going up :oyea:

Far easier to quietly join in the celebrations of success and forget your pessimism when you've pre-covered your ass with chapters of doom prepared for if it goes wrong. No mug our Insaney...

Indeed - when asked by the missus whether I thought we could catch Sheffield, my response was "I'm a lot more concerned about Fleetwood catching us"... :-)

Expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised.....its not a bad motto for life. If you don't have some form of reality check inbuilt then I can only imagine getting crushed time and time again quite easily.

Harder when it is something you have absolutely no control over at all.

At this moment it looks very good. However, as someone else pointed out we made 7 points up in Fleetwood in 2 weeks. So between now and the end of the season they could do the same.

I'd like to think though that if we win the games we should, (3 home games, Port Vale, possibly Oldham) that will be more than enough. However, anyone who has watched Bolton for a decent spell of time knows, it is rarely that simple.

I think the game I fancy us in the most is Scunthorpe! Our superior fitness (and probably squad size) may go some way towards explaining their form v ours since Jan.

I think we'll be ok in the home games as well. We shall see.

Scunthorpe looked poor against Bradford. We must take into account though that once again we play Tuesday (at Southend) whilst they have a week off. So that may even things out a bit. They did look very vulnerable to crosses and set pieces though which obviously plays right into our hands.

Southend might be the trickier game.

Southend is our toughest fixture I reckon

Yep. After Chesterfield we have our 3 toughest games IMO. All away, Southend, Scunny, Oldham.

IF we beat Chesterfield and take 4/5 points or more from the next 3 we'll be reet.

What a miserable way to live your life. I understand it in some situations, but as a general rule to go about daily life expecting everything to be shit? Approach it with positivity and make the best of any shit that does happen your way.

I suspect, no matter how pessimistic we may get on here, theres not a team in the top 6 who doesn't want to be us right now.

We've come from around a billion points behind Sheff Utd to within 4, and we've overtaken Fleetwood, who were probably the form team of the galaxy, to go 6 clear of them and with a superior goal difference. And handed them their arses at their own gaff in the process.

Personally, I'm not arsed that much about the title, promotion is our single focus, but f**k me, if you were in Sheffield right now you'd be looking nervously over your shoulder. And it's a hell of a carrot to our players to carry that momentum on for just 7 games.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Uwe Rosler is number one choice for Norwich's new manager. Hopefully he will jump ship.

Will Fleetwood get a bounce from a new manager or fold for the season? Hopefully the former.

Sheffield 1-0 up at half time against Millwall. Nothing in it from possession or chances so come on The Lions (first time I have ever said that).

I think that makes Sheff U the champions. As they are averaging 2ppg and are 7pts clear, we'd almost certainly have to win all our 7 to overtake them.

It depends on which Sheffield turns up for April.

In January they got 1.4 ppg. That would leave them on 90/91 points.
They'd be catchable with around 6 wins (or 5 wins and a couple of draws).

In March they got 2.33 ppg. That would leave them on 96 points.
We'd have to win all 7 and hope we have a better goal difference.
